lol...I watched a lot of those videos also and got really freaked out! No worries...you wont even be awake for that part lol. I went with a crease incision and am happy with it so far, although I still have the strips on it.

I think Youtube is the devil when researching Breast Augmentation. I tried watching, just to see how they do it, and ended up almost passing out. I've tried not to think about it since then and it's helped. I keep telling myself - "that's not how they do it" just do I don't completely freak out. It is scary when you actually watch it, so don't freak yourself out because it will be well worth it. I found it a lot easier and a lot more favorable to just look at before and after pictures of similar procedures to what I am getting, (in my case, transaxillary incision, saline, hp, unders.)

Don't watch stuff like that because it will discourage you! On another note: wow you saved 13,000 just for boobs! What kind of PS are you using..wow thats expensive.

yeah those videos are so gross. I'm just not thinking about it anymore. I'm having it done, so I can either be freaked out about it or chilled out about it, and I'm going to be unconscious during it anyway so who cares! lol. As someone else said, people get operations for all kinds of things, and they all look gross. At least we get awesome boobs at the end of it!

I know what your going through on a different note. i have all my options sorted (im still worried on size a bit!) and my breast augmentation is just two short days away. im so nervous and mainly because i dont know what to expect after and kinda excited - and as a result i cant sleep!! so instead of sleeping i have been up at all times reading and surfing the net looking at personal stories and pics and kinda scaring myself to death over everything that could go wrong!!! arrghhhh. i think the thing we have to remember is the way and techniques they use to do this procedure is common practice for a good reason - it has all been approved and the choices are put up for different people looking for different things. good luck! i know im going to need it =S

i agree with the other ladies that you should stop watching youtube. it is excellent to be well informed, but you can make yourself too informed. and also freak yourself out. i think you should just research what you NEED to know.

My advice is to stop watching the videos. It's surgery, and if you have a weak stomach, it's going to upset you, no matter what kind of surgery it is. The areola incision tends to heal extremely well, so keep that in mind. Don't let those videos affect your decision as to which incision to get. They might look ugly/nasty/angry in the videos, but they do heal, and quite nicely, I might add. No need to freak yourself out unnecessarily. |

My advice, don't want the video's anymore. I started getting into that, looking at surgery pictures and couldn't take it. It was just freaking me out!! Sometimes there are just some things we do not need to know, and I think exactly how the Dr is going to perform the procedure is one of them (unless you have a stomach for that) You boobs are going to look great. As I am sure that you have read there is a healing process. It will look awful at first, and you will probably just wonder why. But, thankfully our bodies are amazing things and they heal! I would say that if you are really having a problem with the way they look at first, don't look at them! Do what the Dr. says as far as D&F but avoid staring at yourself in the mirror so that you are not reminded at how funny they look at first. Once you notice them start to drop, then venture into the bathroom. They will turn out okay!! The scars will heal and you will soon not be able to see where they are unless you have to look. I had my gallbladder out a couple years ago and cried my eyes out at the site of my scars. (there is a large one below my bellybutton, two small ones on my right side and an inch scar in the middle where my ribcage meets) I thought oh great I am going to have to stare at these ugly things forever. But now, I hardly notice. Even my boyfriend forgets they are there. You will look amazing and you will love the fact that you did it and didn't back out!!! Good luck! You can do it!! |
