NO Sports Bra OR Ace bandage for me

at my pre op today, i was told that the only thing i will be wearing is my compression strap 24/7 for one week until post op, at which time we will decide how much longer if any.

anyone else been in this situation?

If you read through old posts, all PS's differ in their post op care. I was sent home with only steri strips and not allowed in any bras for the first 5 weeks. Sounds like you're ready to go

Isn't it amzing how all the PS's differ in opinion?
I was told i can wear cami's with built in shelf bras if i like. Um, where is a good place to get these? I want comfortable ones.

You can find them at COSTCO (usually 2 for like 12.00) or Old Navy. Just about anywhere nowadays, Mervyn's, Kohl's. Good luck, I lived in my cami's w/button down shirts for the first 5 weeks luckily the first breast augmentation was in the summer. You can also buy silicone nipple covers to tone down the nips, mine stayed erect 24 hours a day.

Thanks for the info about the camis because I am in the same boat. I can only wear cami's and I need to get a few more. I am not allowed to wear any bras for awhile, not even sports bras. Blah :P

now the question is should i get a snug one or one that is a bit loose??? i uually wear an xs or xxs if they make it

Most of mine are XS or S, but I have to say since my re-do they're all a bit too small...the shelf part keeps riding up the boobs. Guess its time I graduate to a M. LOL, my boobs are poppin out these days but that's good news right?

i also left my breast augmentation with just steri-strips and was told to avoid wearing anything more than a loose fitting cami. usually i just haven't been wearing a bra, but ewalina is right- nipple covers would really come in handy these past few weeks!!! my nipples are constantly hard and it's so embarassing because my friends are like- "why don't u just put on a bra?" or "oh, u don't have to wear a bra (b/c they're perky) so ur not going to?" i wish i could wear something to tame my nips! so, congrats on not having to wear the compression stuff- i hear it sucks, but good luck controlling the nipple exposure issue! and good luck on your surgery!
