Massage question...is it possible to massage them out of place?
Just wondering if it's possible to massage too vigorously afterwards that you actually create a pocket that could cause bottoming out???
OR... can you massage them out of place at all...what I mean is they aren't sewn into place, right? So they are just 'sitting' under the muscle(s), and if you massage them, could you possibly push them out of place? Especially with the smaller serraitus (sp?) muscle on the side which helps to keep them out of your armpits (LOL). I don't want to screw up doing what I'm supposed to be doing afterwards, but I don't wanna shove them out of place, either. Thoughts? |

Good question. I never thought about it. I guess the most important thing to do is talk to your PS and do whatever he/she tells you to do.

I was told not to massage at all, possibly because I have anatomicals. Def go with you ps's advice as they have the experience of their past BA's and they know what dissection they've done.

And like others have said, if your PS didn't overdissect then you should be fine. So I guess that's why you should listen to your PS's advice because only he/she knows specifically what they've done and what gives the best results. Oh, one more thing. When I was early post-op, my PS had me pushing down on my implants. And he showed me at first and I kind of gave him a face. And when he told me to give it a try, I didn't do it hard enough apparently. So the nurse noticed what was bothering me and she said, "don't worry, they're not going to come popping out of your incisions." I laughed, but that's exactly what I was worried about. LOL. |
