For girls who've had 2 and 3 BA

Question for you gals and anyone else who knows ... I was talking to my PS yesterday and asking him about revisions just for my knowledge. I'm afraid of the boobie greed so I wanted to know if I could go bigger next time around. I THOUGHT that, especially from reading about girls on here, about 6 months to a year you can get a revision done to go bigger. Your body has time to heal, etc. I thought the reason that you could go bigger is because you've stretched out and you could get a bigger size second time around. Well i'm going my max the first time. I have a 13.1 bwd, and my implant is a 14. He said that I have no room to stretch after that. My bwd is always going to be the same, my NATURAL bwd that is. So I'm confused because I see girls on here with 700cc plus, and some girls have been able to fit that size first time around, but not always. So I guess my question is, is it true that you've stretched out and you can go bigger next time around? so even though my bwd is a 13.1, and I get my implants and lets say 3 years from now, I decide to go a little bigger, can I? Now i'm confused, because I didn't think that your 2nd and 3rd BAs had much to do with what you were first time.

I'm not completely sure about this, but I think the reason that people are able to go with more cc's but not go above their bwd is that they choose different profile implants. For example, a high profile implant is narrower and projects further. So, a larger implant (an implant with more cc's) can be inserted without going over the recommended bwd measurement.

I think there is a link somewhere on this site that lists the different specs of implants. HTH!

Thanks. I was thinking about maybe it was the profile of the implant, but wasn't sure. Thanks!

My BWD is 12. I have 304 mod+ profiles with an 11.9 diameter. For my re-do (if I do it), my implant diameter choices are anywhere from 11.9-13. These all all high profile. I cannot go over 13. I am leaning toward the 12.4, so I still would have room to upgrade LOL!

Of course I do know that some PS's don't even bother measuring. That is scary after everything I've read and researched!

that's scary about not measuring. I was talking to my PS about the idea of going larger, maybe after i see my results, and what could i do? i can get a bigger size if i get hp but he doesn't do them, bummer. he said that he could, if i wanted, to use a 533 silicone implant which is a diameter of 14.4. I'm like no don't think so...no way I'm going past that 1 cm. I dont' want the risk of complications, besides i can't see 40 cc being THAT much of a difference. i hope they turn out great though and i won't have to do a redo

YES! When I had my 2nd breast augmentation done the assistant said there was no way I would be able to go up to 640cc's for the 1st time unless you have significant sagging. I really want to go for a 3rd breast augmentation of 1000cc's-my boobies are way too tiny! =( Btw, I got my 2nd breast augmentation done just 6 months later.

Lots of PSs don't measure, actually. My PS didn't measure me (he's been doing this for about 35years) and I made a post a few weeks back asking who else wasn't measured and quite a few girls weren't. We all turned out great

Same here, in fact we are not even focusing on a specific size implant in terms of cc's but more in terms of shape and size that I feel and he feels would be along the lines of how I want to look post op. I brought in some pics, told him what I am comfortable with (I do not want to be bigger then the DD i already am) and I am not concerned with the number of cc's but more the projection, shape and size once they are in. So, he is going to bring in SEVERAL sizers and try them on me to give me what I want. No measuring, and not being stuck on cc size, but a solid plan based on several factors. I am very comfortable with this and feel very confident that he and I are on the same page and I will get what I asked for. So I don't think the measuring is a hard and fast rule per say, but more of an additional tool to help decide on shape and size.

I know there is a lot of PS's the don't measure. I had consults both ways. For me personally, I just felt like when they were taking measurements into consideration, that it was a more thorough consult and in general, I felt more comfortable with the long term result. The consults where my personal tissues, width and stretch were not taken into consideration just gave me one more thing to worry about. It also seemed to me like the ones not measuring were approaching retirement ages so maybe that's not how they were trained???

You have to do what you feel comfortable with. As long as they are highly trained, skilled, and you are happy with your result, it's happy times right?

this will actually be my 5th breast augmentation surgery hopefully my last, i just want my dream boobies, but each time around I went bigger. I was so flat chested at first I did'nt have enough skin to go the size that I am now for my 1st breast augmentation, since I've had a child my skin is really stretched out so now it can accomodate a larger implant.

My PS didn't measure me initially but put the largest implant he could for the first time which was 620cc HP. For my second breast augmentation I got 1000cc Mod+ and he didn't seem to have any concerns about my BWD the second time.
