Things to buy for BA?

I think I'm going to be booking my surgery soon, if I get approved for financing by next month that is.

I like to be prepared well in advance, so I was just wondering what sort of stuff (if any) I should get ahead of time? Also, I'm at a loss at what to buy to wear home from the surgery... I was thinking a track suit, but will I be able to get the long sleeves on my arms?

Thanks!!
Caitlin

P.s. this face KILLS ME!!!! I'm guessing he's new? hahah

I wore a soft, zip-up jogging suit to/from breast augmentation with slip-on shoes. I made sure the pants went on easily, too, so I wouldn't have trouble getting them on/off by myself when I had to use the bathroom post-breast augmentation. Since I was drinking a TON of water, it was nice to have easy on/easy off pants so I didn't need any help....I was piddling ALL the time.

I wore a track suit and it worked well. The night of my surgery I managed to get a t-shirt on though anyway, I was glad because I didn't really want to sleep in the track suit. As far as things to buy, one thing I'm glad I bought was one of those pillows with arms, for sitting up in bed. I also bought some bottles of water instead of having to pour from the big gallon jugs. I think that's about all I bought.

Have some ice packs on hand, as well as extra pillows to support your back, you will be sleeping on it for awhile. If you can, have someone around first couple days to open jars, meds, cans, etc. Good comfy clothes are a must, as others have mentioned, and some reading material, and dvd's to watch, since you're going to be taking it easy? Right?!!!

I wore yogo pants and a zip front track jacket. I didn't wear a bra but I did wear panties and socks with my slippers. Be sure to leave all your jewlery at home. I took my wedding ring off that morning at home so I wouldn't have to worry about it. I didn't need too much, bought some frozen peas for compressions and that's about it. I had everything else I needed.

Hi Caitlin. Here are some things I got before the big day that helped...
1. ice packs/frozen peas or frozen fruit
2. a reading pillow
3. straws
4. cups of fruit/pudding
5. lots of DVD's/books
6. water bottle
7. button up shirt/slide on pants/flip-flops

Take a pillow with you for the ride home and maybe a coffee can in case you get sick. Also fill your meds prescription before that day so you won't have to stop on your way home. You'll just want to go straight to bed.

Good luck sweetie with your preparation and the big day.
