Just got back from consultation.... confused!

Hi ladies! I just walked in the door from my consult, and am not quite sure what to think. I tried on 2 different sizers (325 and 350cc) and decided to go with the 350cc HP submuscular/inframmary. I asked about moderate plus, but he says he only uses high profile b/c it's the "cadillac of implants.." Then, on the drive home, I was looking through my paperwork and my doctor wrote down 290...? I'm not sure what this means, but I'm hoping it doesn't mean that 290cc is what he's thinking I don't have tons of tissue to work with (I'm a 34a), but I was hoping for a full c/small d. And I've seen other girls achieve that size with approx. the same amount of tissue as me....Do you think I will be able to achieve that size with the amount of cc's he will be using? I'm just so confused! Any kind of input would be greatly appreciated! Sorry this was so long, I just needed to get it out!

Congrats on your decision to get your BA! I would definately call the PS and ask what the 290 means. If you're getting saline, maybe he plans to fill to 350cc??? It would drive me nuts not knowing, I'd call!

I agree, I would call and ask also. I do know they can fill more than what the actual implant is, but if that is what your ps is doing he should let you know. I don't think they realize how much time we put into the decision of the cc amount and when it is different we worry. Best of luck

Congrats on your consult is it not exciting! I would call and ask, as much money as you're about to spend you should know from beginning to end exactly what is going on; make sure your ps knows exactly what you want so you'll get as close to it as possible. Good luck!

I agree, it sounds like you are getting saline. I would call to make sure of the fill for the cc's.

I actually brought a bunch of pictures with me, some of which he had personally done himself, and he said that he can only put so much in me, etc, but when I'm under and he's doing the sizing, he will see how much he can do while still keeping them natural looking. Natural is his specialty, so I guess I should just trust him! Gosh, I'm just sooo nervous all of a sudden Do you think I should go see another ps for more options? I mean, I don't want to look like I have two balls stuck to my chest, and my ps said he will do everything he can to make me big, but natural, and NOT look like 2 balls are stuck to my chest... I feel like I'm just rambling now :P Thank you all for your input

Oh, forgot to tell you, yes I am getting saline. I would like silicone but I'm not 22 so I can't get it

I'm sorry but dont you think you can go for 2nd or 3rd opinions in your area? If he just wants to sell you the "cadillac" and not give you other options, I would look around but thats just me. Also, how close are you to being 22? Do you think you might want to wait until then to get silicone? I'm just asking because you dont have much tissue just like I was naturally and this is the first time out of 5 surgeries where I got mod+ profile and not HP's and they look so much more natural. Just my 2 cents, I'm not a pro and probably shouldnt give an opinion. I dont know.

hi katy and congrats on your up & coming girls! i have round saline mod profile 360's but they are overfilled to 390. Maybe this is your docs plan. Call the office and play dumb. Ask what size you decided on. Doctor would have put the size of implant AND the overfill. Its worth the phone call. (Even the receptionist can look at your chart at a glance and see what it says you decided on). You need piece of mind right now, there are far too many other things on your mind!! Call b/c it will drive you mad until you find out, I know it would me! Do you want HP? If not then you might want to see another PS (or several) and get some more opinions. A 290 HP implant will give a lot of projetion. On the low end you're looking at 4.7 and a fill to of 350cc will give you approx. 5.2cm. That ranks up there with a 500-600cc mod implant (in re: to projection) so you'll have plenty of projection with a 290cc HP saline implant (if HP is what you want) and with him filling to 350 you'll be equal to about a 600cc mod implant, give or take. So it isn't small by any means.

If you dont want the HP or the projection of a HP then you def. need to tell him that and possibly see someone else if he wont accomidate you. HP's are smaller in diameter too, so you wont get as much width with an HP as you would a Mod or Mod Plus.

I would have loved a Mod Plus implant but my PS does Mod and HP so I couldn't have it.

Boils down to get what you want and if that PS cant do it, find one that will. DONT settle for an implant you dont want. Just keep in mind that a 290cc HP isn't small in projection.

However, I have seen a girl with approximately the same stats as me, and she got 325cc o/f to 375cc saline moderate profile, and they look great on her. So, needless to say, that was what I was looking for! I am going to call around tomorrow and schedule some more consults with different dr's just for other opinions. I'll let you all know if anything changes!

Hey, I'm glad you're having more consultations. I don't want to bad-mouth your doctor, but I would be a little skeptical of anyone who calls one implant the "cadillac." They come in so many different shapes, textures, sizes, fills, etc., because one implant won't produce the best result on everyone. Maybe HP's are the best one for you, but it's always good to get another opinion.

There is a difference between a 350cc HP and a 350cc Mod so if you're not wanting an HP look you do need to find a PS that does either Mod or Mod Plus so you can get the look you're after.
