Thought I'd be able to go braless...
Hi Girls...
Just wondering how you feel about this, too. I was looking forward to a life without having to worry about wearing a bra with dresses, halters, etc. However, now I'm not sure that's going to happen. I should have thought about this too...My breasts have always been kinda far apart & low on my chest. Guess I didn't think that they still would be that way. Also, they're not as high as I thought they'd be. Don't get me wrong, they're perky enough! Just not cleavage in a dress high and close together that I was expecting. Is your experience do you still need to wear one with different attire? Thanx for your help! |

I've tried different styles of tops and dresses for the most part I find I like the way I look more with a bra. The bra just gives me that extra umph! Victoria Secret has some dresses and tops with a built in bra you might wanna check out. |

PetuPetu, have you actually tried any of those Victoria's Secret built in bra dresses? That was something I wanted to look into after my surgery, but I hate ordering clothing online and not being able to try it on.

Not comfortable without a bra ...
My left breast really aches if I don't support it with either a bra or a "shelf" in a camisole. I try to wear something under my shirt - a tight t-shirt or camilsole - if I'm not going to wear a bra. Even at night I have to wear something to support my boobs.

I haven't tried their bra tops yet. I was thinking of ordering a dress but I just saw their return policy and it looks like I can't take it back to the store if ordered through the catalog or website.

I'm not far enough along to know if I'll be able to bra-less or not. I do remember thinking that I'd probably wear a bra even more once I had implants, 'cause I want to keep them nice and not sagging with extra weight. I hope they come out big enough to need support! I guess it mostly depends on shape and placement of the breasts pre-BA.
Hoping someone will come along who's got one of the built-in bra dress and let you know if they give that extra oomph! |

I know what you mean. I don't even feel right sleeping without a bra. And, before when I was teeny, I never wore a bra around the house! I don't want to get saggy now! I was just talking about going braless instead of worrying about the right bra for a dress, summer shirts, etc. Which was always an issue before being so small and slightly saggy.
Also, my nipples are always perky now after my ba - it's scary when I try on a halter or summer shirt...they're like "HELLO"! |

Have you tried a little toupee tape? I went braless on NYE, (had a backless top) and with the help of a little toupee tape, had the most gorgeous cleavage! Just a little on the undersides pulled them in perfectly

I have tried the stick on bras and thought it was great, you stick them on then clasp them in the middle for cleavage, has anyone else tried these? Great for when you have a dress that a bra just wouldn't work with. Mine was £10 from Debenhams but can be used over and over.

just wanted to let you know that i tried on those dresses and tops with a shelf bra inside. they do give you some support but forget about the cleavage. for cleavage you'd need a proper bra. well i do for sure!

I wanted to go braless too but can't because of my nipples. They show through everything!!
I'd think it would be very tough to give you great cleavage without a bra. You'd need to have that prior to a BA to achieve it. |

I love the nippits I ordered to cover those big ol nipples...after breastfeeding mine look like eraser heads, ha! I am wearing mainly bralettes right now and the nipples show right thru...so I bought the nippits from www.nippits.com - they work great and don't hurt to remove...I love them! I can see going without a bra in the future and using those to cover the major nip action!

2 weeks out.. bra optional!
I am 2 weeks out (and a day!)
I really only wear a bra at work. Once I get home.. that baby comes off! I do sleep without a bra.. its more comfortable for me personally. I love the way they look in shirts.. I have to invest in some pasties.. cause my nipples are very sensitive to the fabrics of the shirts.. |
