Ladies of California, I need your help!

Hey ladies! It's been a while since I've posted, mostly I've been trying to find work so that I can save money for my breast augmentation. I've been lusting away for larger boobs for the past 2 years & I've finally made it happen!

I've known for a while that I want my surgeon to be Dr. David Kim. His work is impeccable, results are in line with my own ideal aesthetics & there is no better reference than you lovely ladies who have spoken on his behalf.

I am from New York City so I will be flying across the country to Cali with one of the two people I currently have lined up to play nurse for me. Dr. Kim & I have been corresponding via email. We've decided on silicone via trans-ax & he will be aiming for 500cc or somewhere in that range. I've already referenced pictures off his online gallery so he knows the proportions I am looking for. Final decisions will be made when I fly in to see him the day before surgery. Now the question I have is do any of you ladies have any affordable hotel suggestions for the Los Angeles area? I've never been to California before & I do not know the area at all. I am thinking of staying at least 3 days to 1 week in a hotel near the doctor for the many post-op appointments and recovery. And I am leaning towards staying a 2nd week in a different (more scenic) part of California for some R&R. Suggestions ladies?

I'm calling tomorrow to book the surgery date (late July) & to make the deposit. I'm already running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to figure out what I need (like the Husband pillow, necessary?). So excited!

shoot, I just signed a lease for a place in LA, but I dont know the area very well. The hotels are fairly expensive everywhere in LA (120ish/night). Maybe try to find a bed&breakfast a little ways out of town? Maybe Irvine?

And wow, he can do silicone trans-ax?

The bed and breakfast sounds like it's worth looking into. I'm going to pull up a map of California. LOL. Thank you!

Yes, it can be done. He's personally done upwards of 500cc via the armpit. I know one of the members here has had 800cc silicone through the armpit as well.

Hm. I can't help you with California, since we come from the same neck of the woods. But I can help you by suggesting this:

GET A ROOM WITH A RECLINER. Because no matter how many pillows you use, how many wedges you use, etc., YOU BACK IS GOING TO KILL YOU.

Trust me. From experience.

hey girly..i live in LA so I think I can help...what are u planning on spending? i would say steer clear of the beverly hills area (where dr kim is located i'm planning on going to him as well just saving up)

so I would just look into like a marriott or holiday in..you could stay anywhere really-Irvine is pretty far considering you are going to have to have someone take you to beverly hills for your follow up. I would look into the Ramada that is by LAX or check different prices of Marriotts or Holiday Inn's....

So I think you should stay in Santa Monica, near LAX *since you will flying in and out of there...
You could look in Marina Del rey, West Los Angeles, Century city....they are all pretty close to beverly hills...

If you find a place feel free to ask me where it is located and if its far....

I'm so excited for you!! Dr kim does amazing work! You could try and stay right in Bev Hills but might be more...i will look for ya a bit...i dont know what ur budget it....

Also, if you stay an extra week you can see all the sights in LA...go to malibu...

hey! I guess it depends on what is considered expensive. Its true that irvine is a bit far. I stayed in a random Holliday inn express in westwood (santa monica blvd), which is very close to beverly hills (maybe a 10min drive), but it was $130/night.

Westwood can get kind of expensive!! There are some luxury hotels like loews at it is like less than 200..that is in santa monica....i know there is a marriott in santa monica and holiday inn..

other cheaper ones are like doubletree
ramada
maybe the radisson....
once you figure out the exact date go on cheap tickets and search hotels..they give great prices.

I really really appreciate the input ladies! I've been going through all the hotel options the past 2 days & I'm getting the worst headache. I am on a rather tight budget & I'm trying to figure out if I should stay at a hotel closer to LAX (like Best Western which has pretty great reviews on expedia) & deal with having to pay for cabfare for the follow ups or stay in area closer to Beverly Hills?

Times like these I wish I had family in LA. Even the cheap hotels add up! Keeping fingers crossed that I find something affordable.

i've gone luxury at the marriot..happen to have their info at my fingertips even..
Marina del Rey Marriott
4100 Admiralty Way
Marina del Rey, California 90292
USA
Phone: 1-310-301-3000
if you book and do a guaranteed stay where they charge your credit card, you can get it for 139..149ish/nt, for a sweet marina view room with huge bed w/tons o pillows, nice recliner n giant marble bathroom w/a phone by the toilet, plush but still pretty spendy.

i've also gone "budget" in that same area..i think travellodge for 89ish. thats in santa monica, rt next door to marina del rey.

closest to the airport i think you'll find the best deals n plenty of cabs. there maybe some plane noise, but w/the meds i'm sure you'll be fine

i think you wherever you go, you should look into multiple night/guaranteed stay discounts. don't be afraid to ask for something even if they don't offer it. chances are they want your business and will wheel n deal for it
best of luck!!
