Husbands and Consults

My husband was with me for every appointment, not that it mattered to me if he approved or not. He genuinely loves me and he knows this is something I really want. His support is great that way!
It was actually nice to have him there at all 4 pre-breast augmentation appointments, he helped ask questions that I would not think of asking at that moment.
His main concerns and questions were related to safety and my hapiness!
He was a big help with chosing the size... he knows me best and helped me make the best decisions, always respecting my final say!

he will be there waiting when I get my breast augmentation in 2 days!
It's nice to get the support and love through all of this.

His only negative comment was that he felt that people would think all this was for him and they would think he was pressuring me to do this!! lol!!

I went to 3 consults, DF went to one of them just because he was at work during the others. He is going to my pre-op with me! I think it is good to have someone go with you, whether it is a friend or the sig. other.

I already had implants pre-marriage, so my husband didn't express any concerns regarding the process, type, size, etc.

He went with me on one of my two consults - at my request. I wanted him to go to see what he thought of the doctor himself. I wasn't sure if I liked him, and I wanted my hubby to go for a second opinion. I ended up going with the other PS that I felt more comfortable with.

I actually went to my consults alone. Althought I would've loved for my b/f to have come so he could've asked questions that I didnt' think of.

Yes, my hubby has gone to all my consults before and after my surgery. He sits there quietly and only makes a comment once in awhile. I like having him there because he is a great listener and will also give me his opinion. I think it is important your husband is there.

With my ps that I used my hubby didnt go to my initinal consult. He couldnt get off work. But I took him to all my other appts. I really like having him there. I feel my appts are different with him there & then my hubby hears things that didnt register with me. So that helps.

And that was the very first thing my PS asked when he saw my DH at my consult. I applaud him for that because I am not sure all docs ask that. I liked having my DH around at the consult (as well as surgery day) because I really wanted his support as well as I wanted him to understand the whole process as he would be my caretaker. But I am a grown woman capable of making my own decisions and don't think I need him there to back me up on every visit. I am the patient and I feel perfectly comfortable talking to my own doctor alone. I don't go in with him when he has check-ups!

My husband did not come to my consult but is coming with me to the pre-op tomorrow. I didn't feel the need to have him come to the consult, but I want him to be a part of the final process and understand exactly what will be taking place and in what capacity he will be needed during recovery. I am also looking forward to having his input on the final decision of size, although up to this point he has pretty much gone with, "I love your boobs now, I'll love them regardless." God I gotta love this man

I took my bf to my consult. It was a disaster. Then again the man is suddenly against my surgery.
But as long as you have an understanding husband, that knows why you are doing this. I'm sure you'll be fine. It's always nice with support too.

My husband came with me to all my visits.

At first, he just wanted to know what my size is going to be. He was right quiet the whole time but I think it's important to have your husband go with you so that he would understand the whole process, options, complications, etc so he knows what to expect as well. And beside, he's going to be taking care of you after the surgery. It'd be better if he has the knowledge too.

I had three consults and my fiance went along for one of them which wasn't my final choice, though. He had very good questions I didn't even think of to ask the PS and even liked that PS but he was too conservative with implant sizes for me. My fiance couldn't go for the other consults because of his work schedule.
