OMG I would be furious. Is there some type of contract that you can get a hold of that mentions the discount was july-aug?

You had your surgery in July..did you book it in June? If so, I would fight for the promised discount. It's in writing - no stipulations attached or written, so it would only be fair to include your surgery in that promotion. It's not your fault it's a "typo". It's an advertised promotion in which you qualify. End of story. Ask to speak to the office manager or the doctor himself. Don't take no for an answer and keep bugging them until you get it. Good luck!

Its hard to get money back once you paid but I would still try to get the discount. They should not have made that typo...I believe if stores tag items with the wrong price they still have to honor that price. You could always call up and pretend you are a new patient and inquire over the phone about their prices and ask if they are running any specials and see what they say is the date of the special price. Then you will know if it is a typo or not.

Copy the email and bring it with you when you see your surgeon. Talk directly to the surgeon about it. I am assuming that the office staff can't really negotiate with you on price, the surgeon can.

Yeah I'd be mad.....I would print that info out because typo or not isn't it false advertising and therefor they have to honor it? Don't know but it's worth a try!

I would def be upset! I would save and print copies of that email and take it to the PS office and see what they can do. It is sad to say but sometimes places make you fight to get what is rightfully owed to you. Some figure hey if I brush of xyz he/she will leave and I won't have to take ownership for what I said or advertised. I have found that they deal with you only if they have to and some ppl hope to brush you off and you will not come back to get what is owed to you. So, IMO I would def go in and discuss it with them. It is their fault if it was a typo. Of course this is just my opinion but it is worth a shot to persue it. That is a lot of money. As others have said--me personally I would not stop bugging them until they refunded and I would not take no for an answer. Keep us posted. |

i would have a friend call and verify the special and then you will know for sure if they are giving you the run around!

I got an email after I had made my payment in full too for 15% off any procedure. I did not get any money back. I guess once you've paid you start getting the emails that are sent out to lure back previous patients. They are not typically sent out before you are book.
