2nd thoughts on OVERS....maybe I should stay with UNDERS

I feel like I'm a mess with this 3rd breast augmentation. I mean this has to be the one that fixes the problems. I CANT GO INTO A 4TH breast augmentation!

I guess I'm so paranoid because this is #3 and I want to make the right decisions.

After researching and talking with ladies here on JBI, I don't know if OVERS is the right thing for me.

My concerns with OVERS
1. I have little breast tissue (barely 34A..you can see in my album)
2. I have thin skin because I'm thin
3. I have a high rate of damaging chest (hitting water)
4. The implant is no longer supported by muscle (just skin and tissue)
5. The idea of rippling anywhere

My concerns with UNDERS
1. continued wierd shape in breasts

Muscle deformity during activity doesn't bother me, so that's not a problem with my current unders.

I'm just worried and don't know where to turn to or what to think. I need your support and your advice.

I think originally I liked the ideas of OVERS because it was new and fresh and seemed to be like the thing to do, but now I'm not so sure.

Maybe you should ask your ps what he would choose. I had waaaaaay less tissue than you and had overs and thin tissue so thin he poked thru my skin whilst he was cauterizing my scar tissue

I would go with what he is advising you and then breathe

yeah, I have a scheduled appt for Sept 14 and in meantime I want to get very educated on pros and cons of both.

I have a lits of questions that keep getting longer!!!

I fear the unknown! With unders, I at least know!

I agree that you should have a discussion with your PS about what is best for you. Also do some research. This and other sites offer great, insightful information that sure helped me with all of my decisions.

I have unders. The only thing that I can say that I don't like about them (and it's really no big deal) is that when I'm naked and flex my chest muscles a certain way, it changes the the way my breast look.

Other than that, they look great and I love them.

At age 46, one of the reasons I didn't choose overs is gravity. I did not have to get a lift and hoping I won't need one for quite sometime, other than a minor tuck job due to slight sagging from breast feeding.

My shape right now is odd, kind of right is pointy and lefty is spread out mostly bc of bottoming out.

I just want them like everyone's elses!

I"m really torn. I have talked with some ladies here with overs that had really no problems or slight ripples that weren't noticeable. The other ladies with overs had problems. The of course I know about unders I have them!

I don't know. I sure hope my PS can lead me to the best decision!

I too had little breast tissue and also on my left have very, very tight skin under the nipple...which resulted in DB...from the beginning (had two revisions). I also am very athletic and I would be nervous with my implants on top because of no protection of the muscle....although both of mine did rupture (after 20 years, though) from all the heavy weight lifting I did through the years. I never had rippling with unders except now with my last revision I have minor rippling on the right side but only when I bend over and put my arms up. I amazed that I don't have more since I do have 750cc and I was totally flat before. I debated with overs too but when I went to three different surgeons before last revision (to try to correct double bubble and replace ruptures) they all told me it was best to go unders. By the way, I still have DB - :-( but I like the size of breasts much better and they look much better in clothes.
