concerns

i just found this site bc i have been thinking about breast augmentation and really wanting to do my research.everyone on here seems so kind. i used to weigh about 20lbs more than i do now and had full 34 Ds. i now have droopy 32 Cs. they look fine in clothes but i miss the way they used to look. i am too young to be unhappy with my breasts. have any of yall regretted getting surgery? that is my biggest fear. what if they turn out looking worse than they did before surgery? cc? bad scars? i also don't want any negative attention from them. i don't want to be judged bc i got them. i live in southern lousiana. does anybody know of any good surgeons nearby? i want them to look and feel as natural as possible.

Some days I regret not getting mod +, but when I wear a tank without a bra I dont. But overall I am so happy with them. Be sure and do a TON of research and know what to ask your PS. I didnt know about profiles till the day of my consult so I went with HP. But good luck with it all !!

Hi Evelyn and welcome!
Your thoughts and fears are normal. It's a major decision and should be well researched. I would advise you to get well informed about everything concerning a breast augmentation. Ask questions at your consults. Understand your options. Understand the risks and complications. The more knowledgable you are, the better you will be able to understand your surgeon in achieving the results you desire. Communication is so very important with your surgeon!

I was 48 when I had mine done. I have no regrets and my entire experience has been a good one.

As for surgeons in your area, please check the Plastic Surgeon forum or feel free to start a thread there.

Barb

Hi hun, I'm in LA too (BR). I used Dr. Williams for my redo and loved him. He gave me the exact look I wanted. Bigger than most (lol, his eyes popped out of his head when he saw me at post-op), but he fulfilled my wishes. His photo book had amazing girls in the 300-600 range, so if you're looking for smaller than me, I know he'd do a terrific job.

I had 250s before, which put me at around a 32/34 D. I was up to a 34DD when I weighed 35lbs more, but after losing that weight and nursing 2 kids, my chest showed the effects. As a result, I wanted a more perky, full, fake look. I brought in pics (see my album for the look I wanted) and he gave me 700 hp silicones. I love how they look!

Other doctors I saw in BR that I liked were Dr. Gruenwald, Teague and Wade. But Williams was my favorite. Good luck!

I wish I had gotten my boobs 10 years ago! After finding this site and finding a brilliant PS, I knew that I wanted a breast augmentation.. I did my research, asked any and EVERY question... No one knows how their breast augmentation will go.. I had fears of capsular contracture, bottoming out.. every complication that can happen, I was paranoid about. I was blessed with no issues and have healed perfectly.. But each woman has her own journey.. Just as with any surgery, there are risks.. Finding a good plastic surgeon to calm you and walk with you every step of the way is such a great blessing...
As for getting a breast augmentation and being judged.. thats something that I dont think anyone can get away from.. Its just society.. There will always be people who are condecending and hurtful.. Those people are the ones you have to look past. Remember WHO you are doing this for.. YOU.. and no one else..

my earlier implants (250ccs) felt extremely natural and never felt foreign to me. no problems sleeping on my tummy either. these new ones are only 3 weeks old and i'm afraid to sleep on them, lol! i tried it last night but only lasted about 10 seconds. i kept visualizing the incision reopening, and it wasn't very comfortable. i hope i am able to sleep on my tummy once they heal more, as i'm 100% a tummy sleeper.

one good thing about having to sleep on my back is that i don't get those lovely sleep lines on my face when i wake up...plus it helps reduce wrinkles.

I know how you feel about your breast shrinking.. I measured at a 36C 5 years ago... and lost some weight back then, gained it back, and just recently in the last few months lost 25lbs... I did alot of weight training through this last weight lost, so it caused me to shrink to a 36A =( I am now set to get my breast augmentation on AUG 17th! I am super excited! the only person in my family that knows is my dad, I havent told anyone else bc I dont really want to be judged, and I am doing this for ME!! not for them.. so just make sure you are getting it done for yourself and not to please anyone else, then the only thing you have to worry about is choosing your size!
