Help...am I doing the right thing?

Okay, so I've always loved boobs, and always wanted bigger ones. This past year, its got the stage where I'm instantly jealous of anyone with bigger boobs then me. My poor boyfriend...I used to be really laid back, but now I hate him looking at anything. I feel so inferior.

I've been to two consultations. The first was good, but the woman wasn't too friendly, and they couldn't do it very soon. The second cancelled on the morning of my op, and left me gutted.

I do love my boobs. I think I'm about a C...I wear 32D bras, but they are quite padded. I love how they feel, and how they jiggle a bit. But I won't take my top off in front of my boyfriend anymore, because I don't feel good enough.

I'd die for boobs like Lucy Pinder. So round and perfect...but my boyfriend thinks I'm fine the way I am. I haven't told him I'm seriously considering it, but one night I asked him and he said it would be up to me. He said he loved me the way I am, but would support me if I wanted it done.

I don't know anyone whose had an op, and I don't have anyone I can talk to about this. I don't know how they feel, or whether I'd hate them and want my boobs back... I suffer with anxiety and depression anyway, so I'm finding this a really hard decision to make.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it so much...

I know you are nervous about getting this done. But,I really think that if this is truly what you want,then go for it. Getting a breast augmentation was one of the best things I have done for myself. I am 42 yrs. old and my only regret is not getting it done sooner. I have wanted to get a breast augmentation for years and always put it off,for one reason or another.

I love my boobs. I love the way I look in clothes now...I feel so much more better abuout myself. And shopping is so much more fun!

I am exactly the same bra size as you I have always been greedy and wanted more and went through the same jealousy thing too!

I made up my mind about a year ago and haven't looked back since. This is a decision that you need to make for yourself though. Nobody else should have any input into it - especially not your boyfriend IMO. If you want them, they are for you and you alone. If he likes them that is a bonus

Being a D cup does not make you immune from boobie greed, trust me

Also, if you do decide to get them, it is a good thing that you like them as they are as you end up with the same shape, just bigger! Do a lot of research before you decide one way or another.

I picked the best plastic surgeon in Australia to do my surgery for me. It is more expensive, but I trust him completely. I ended up going with a smaller implant than most girls on here go with, because I have more boob to begin with!

You've found a good place to come to for advice. JBI is so helpful, especially if you don't have anyone else to talk to about a breast augmentation.

It sounds like this is something you really want, but if you aren't sure, then don't rush into it. Take your time and make sure its something you want to do for you. You need to be able to accept that there are risks and they might not turn out exactly the way you want. And then still decide to go ahead.

Just one thing I really want to say - please don't expect your boobs to turn out looking like anyone else's. That can be a recipe for disappointment. Its good to look at pics and get an idea of the size you want, but usually, your boobs are going to look like your boobs, only bigger, unless you have major work done.

but remember if ur jealous now of bigger boobs,u will still have that issue when you have bigger boobs. there is always someone with bigger boobs. lol
i liked my girls before breast augmentation,and was very anxious that i would want my old boobs back. but nooooooo way!!!!! i am in love. hahahaha

I've got another consultation booked for October 8th, and hopefully I'll have enough money to book a theatre slot then, so I'll be committed. I'm a huge worrier, so having something definite would help me alot.

I find it kinda hard to talk on here, as my anxiety often stops me posting after I've written a big response, but I'll certainly have a go at sticking around and making some friends.

Does anyone mind telling me how they feel and look? I know it depends on the surgeon, but I'm still very curious.

i had overs. yea i would say they look a little fake, only because they are big but not saggy lol.
and they still feel a bit hard. but are getting softer every day.

I've got the choice between overs and unders...he has said I can choose, but he'll have the final decision on the day.

I'm not sure what to go for....I'm having armpit incision, so its the recovery time that is swaying me towards overs. Do unders look different, though?

Its so normal to be nervous and not sure if this is for you. you have a lot more to start with then I did I was a A before breastfeeding and a nipple pre breast augmentation so it was easy for me to make a choice but I still almost changed my mind not because I did not want boobs but because we were having to borrow the money but I knew it was something for me and DH was all for me to to it so I am so glad I did it for myself now. As for how they feel I have unders and silicone and they are softer now then they were at first but still not quite as soft as a real breast but almost. Good luck and welcome to the forum

I couldnt have said it better. Ive always been very self conscious about my appearance, but since my breast augmentation I cant tell you how much happier I am with myself and as a person. Im not worried about what others think of me and im not comparing myself to other girls anymore either. Its a great feeling to feel like a woman. And my only regret is not doing this sooner. Boobs are AMAZING!
