Sleepless nights

Hi, I am preparing for a breast augmentation with Dr. DeWire (Richmond, VA) in 9 days. I have been planning this in my head for almost 4 years, actively doing something for about 1 year and now that I am about to do it of course I feel like I am freaking out. I can't sleep at night because I am so full of worry. Worried what people will think or say and how to respond. I am worried that I will have a long recovery and can't take care of my family and house. I am worried that I might be in a terrible amount of pain. Worried about CC or other issues. Does everyone go through this? I keep saying if I had to have a knee replaced, I'd just do it without a thought but this is soooooo hard. Why can't I just put all these thoughts aside and focus on how much I have wanted this for the past 5 years!

I am going through a lot of the same thoughts. I can still sleep but I know as I get closer it will be hard! I am usually on top of everything and know it's going to be hard for me to ask for help with my kids and such. My DH keeps asking me if I even put this much thought into marrying him! lol...I'm obsessed a little, I want to make right choice. You'll be just fine., just try and think more about the results than anything else

I think most people feel this way. I'm freaking out about making my offical appointment, LOL. I can't imagine how I will feel when I'm a couple days out! Hang in there- just remember, you are doing this for you, and you deserve it. I think I will have to stop reading the complications thread once I make my appointment. Lets face it, we are aware of the risks and not going into this blindly, but maybe reading about them day in and day out is not the best way to go into this! Good luck girl. Keep us posted.

I am already starting the sleepless nights. This is on my mind constantly and now I can't even really pay attention at work haha. I know how you feel about worrying about everything.. But we have to be positive and remember that we are going to be fine! So much easier to say than think! But we will! Good luck with your breast augmentation!

Hello! I know that your worried right now. I haven't had my surgery yet, I'm not scheduled until December so as right now I'm not too worried. But, one thing that has helped me to ease my mind is reading the posts and stories that other girls on here have written. A lot of them have had postive experience and it makes me feel more relax and not afraid. Another thing you shouldn't worry about what others will think about you, "Who Cares!" They do not pay your bills you do! So, keep your head up, stay postive, and Good Luck!

Think of all the reasons that you have wanted this for so long and why a breast augmentation would be good for you. Even write a list if you gotta. Don't let anybody make you feel any different. Read all the positive experiences other women have posted on here. Don't read about any complications! Remember that it's really a small percentage, but because this is a forum for those seeking support it draws more stories like that. Women that have a successful breast augmentation are more likely to build up to it and then drift away from the site. I got the impression that like everybody gets CC. Like every other question at my consult was about CC, then finally my dr put my mind to rest by more or less saying that. Try to take your mind off of things until the big day. Do things you enjoy, spend time with family and friends, pamper yourself, even take a daytrip if you can. You're almost there!

I'm two days out and I feel like a cockerspaniel on crack. Can't keep still! AND I'm fully submersing myself in this site which helps the anxiety but just makes me more excited to see the end result. LOL

I'm excited for you and can't wait to see your results.

I'm so worried I wont be able to sleep after the surgery. I'm sleeping fine before at the moment. I am a mostly stomach sleeper and have the hardest time sleeping on my back. SO after surgery is going to be interesting. I'm also scared about my results. There is a lot going into a tuberous breast surgery. I just want round boobs with normal looking areola that doesn't protrude funny. I trust Dr. DeWire though, I'm just scared. I first contacted Dr. D 3 years ago and FINALLY scheduled 3 months ago. I'm scared about CC too. :-( Dr. D likes to do trans ax inscisions. He says that the milk ducts harbor bacteria that can rub off onto the implant during insertion. So since I'm having a Benelli lift too I'll have 4 inscisions. EEK! Is he doing the same for you, Pham7577?

It is very normal to have these thoughts and sleepless nights. Everything will be fine. The surgery is actually pretty easy. In fact, the day of the surgery was the easiest for me. Your boobies will be here before you know it. Good luck on your upcoming surgery.

I am SOOOO there with you. I am hooked to this website like no other.. OBESSESED over CC's and get less than 3 hours of sleep a night! No lie! I go to bed at 5/6 am!! and guess what.... my B.A. is 10 days away like yours is 9 days away. I'm sorry you are going through this but I'm kind of happy to know that I'm not alone. We both just need some anxiety pills and to unhook our internet to stop reading/ looking at boobs.

I am the same way. My breast augmentation is scheduled for Oct 2nd. I am more worried about what people will say or think of me. I am sure I can make it through recovery fine, but people can be just plain mean!!

Thinking of you today LoveBunny! I can't wait to hear about your experience with Dr. D. My surgery is going to the the same, Benelli with Saline implants (gulp, a week from today) Let us know how you are doing when you are up to it! ; )

So I had a horrible boobie dream last night..I had my girls and then all of a sudden my left implant just fell out! I saw it on the floor and was crying in pain and I had one big boob and one deflated boob..omg I'm so glad I only have to sleep 2 more nights..I'm soo ready to stop worrying!

I was the same way . You will be fine and everything will work out just right.I had a 10 month old son I had to take care of and I made it just fine.

Thank you ladies. I found some awful site today when I did a search for positive breast augmentation stories. It freaked me out but then I reminded myself you often hear more about problems because people are looking for support.
So, it is one week from today! I can't wait until I am home at this time in a week and starting down the recovery path. I think I may need some good books and movies.
