hi ladies, so, i've decided that i'm going to have my current 265cc midrange profile implants switched out for 339cc midrange profile. i'm a little nervous about them ending up too big, but my ps said this is the size i need to go with in order to get cleavage (which i currently don't have). i wondering, though, about the recovery after an implant exchange and the size i'm going with. 1. is the recovery less sore/awkward feeling? 2. will they d&f a lot faster? (mine have taken a LONG time to drop--i'm almost 4 months post first breast augmentation and they still haven't dropped much). 3. will the skin stretch more easily and in less time? 4. do you think the size difference will be very noticeable to others? (i don't want them to be a lot bigger--i just want to have more cleavage) 5. i'm very tiny--do you think the 339cc implants will look too huge on me (i don't want BIG boobs or to look fake) thanks for your help!!!!

You're really not going up that much in size, so I wouldn't worry about them looking too big on you - they will probably be just right. As for the recovery, my PS had hers re-done at 7am and was seeing patients later that day - I know because she saw me that day! She said the recovery from a re-do is nothing compared to your initial breast augmentation. Hope that helps.

I agree with BBrigit that no one will notice the size, you aren't even going up 100cc's. I think 25cc's is around 2 tsp. or something like that. I just went from 390's to 700's and although I am hiding them a bit more at work, no one has noticed yet. As far as the recovery goes, mine was about the same as the first. I have heard it is usually not as bad as the first and I did feel a lot better the day after than I did with the first but remember not to push yourself. My breast augmentation's were almost 5 years apart but I seem to remember the muscle soreness being more with the first. I think I stayed on the painkillers longer the first time. With my second I only took them from Tues. (day of surgery) until Saturday. My incisions seem to hurt a bit more than the first time but maybe that's because I have to wear a thong bra this time and it's not that comfortable. Good luck with your decisions and redo.

Wow, I'm surprised you're going to do that! I would say that the recovery will definitely better because I believe most of the pain comes from the muscle and skin being stretched. That's all done now so it's just really the incision you need to deal with. Not sure about the dropping and fluffing...? Maybe the extra weight (although minimal) will make them drop faster? Maybe think about asking for the dreaded strap in order to get them down? I don't think there'll be a lot of size difference. Will the ones you're changing to have a wider base? I guess you don't want to go through all this and just have bigger boobs in the same place, if you know what I mean. Please just make it VERY clear to your PS that you don't want symmastia to be an issue, in this mission that you're on for better cleavage. I have mild symmastia and I believe it's because I said (verbally) and in an email that I wanted good cleavage and not a big gap. I don't want to scare you (as if you don't already have enough to think about) but symmastia is just about always caused by surgeons trying to 'create better cleavage' so your post just pricked up my ears a bit, is all So not likely to happen, but just thought I'd mention it. I really don't think you'll look big. Curvy, but not big. 330 is still a smallish implant. Good on you for going after what you really want!!! Quote:

thanks for your advice! my ps (who is also a friend of mine) is always warning me about symmastia--he keeps saying that that's NOT what we want here. i think what he means is that it would look awful if he used a smaller implant and just cut the muscles so that they'd be really close together. so, that's why he's suggesting the larger (wider) implants to create the cleavage. i trust him very much and know he's going to make sure i don't end up with symmastia! i'm hoping these implants he's chosen do the trick--they are 1cm wider than my current implants and only 0.3cm more projection. i just hope and pray i don't come out of it thinking they look way too BIG! ![]() Quote:

0.3 cm will not do too much. It seems like most of the size is in the base so dont worry about going big. You will probably still fit in your bras except really fill them out. Hope all goes well. I did just have a revision done, did not switch the implants but pocket work done and I was taking care of my kids the same night and I have 4 toddlers. You should probably feel ok after you anesthesia wears off.
