OMG Did anyone else feel this way??

So I woke up yesterday morning and realized that my big day was just around the corner, started taking my arnica this morning, and now I am feeling offically freaked out.

I was so excited until yesterday but now I am scarred poopless, I can't sleep and everything I eat makes me feel sick . . . . OMG

What do I do?

My BA is in 2 weeks, had my pre-op today... Last night I had to read through all of the disclosure stuff. Of course I read EVERY word! Scared the crap out of me!

They made me feel much better at my appointment today though.

We will be fine, surgery is always scary! Just stay away from horror stories, they will do you no good at this point! Try to relax, and keep your mind off things (easier said than done).

But I'm in the same boat!

Ah! Good Luck!

You will be just fine. Dr. Waslen is a great plastic surgeon. I was so nervous sick too, it was ridiculous. Dr. Waslen said being nervous is normal but if you are too nervous you are beside yourself with worry, it isn't good either. If you find you are to that point, call his nurses. I know one lady who was stressed and couldn't sleep his nurses prescribed her something to calm her down.

You will be fine and you are in good hands.

I called this morning about perscriptions and the girl I talked to said to have a cup of tea . . . As I thought to my self are you kidding, how about I throw that cup of tea at you, that might make me feel better. Its just awful, cause not only am I not sleeping, but eating and trying to work isn't going very well either.

I will try to relax . . . . Does anyone have like a doobie or something LOL (just kidding)

I felt exactally like that. It freaked me out because I had been waiting for months for my day to come. All of a sudden I was having all these mixed emotions, cranky, emotional, excited, scared, etc, etc. Then a few days before surgery I received a call from the plastic surgeon office telling me that I had to reschedule because my plastic surgeon had to go to Canada because his father passed away. So I had to wait 4 more days and then I really started freaking out and I was thinking all these crazy things like "Maybe it was a sign that the plastic surgeon had to go out of town. Maybe I should run like H E double L in the other direction!!! Don't worry, it will be great. It's been almost 4 weeks since my BA and everything worked out great. Yours will too!!!!

Oh you girls are so supportive . . . I am so glad I joined.

When I first saw the site I thought no way that is stupid, but now, I just don't know what I would do without the support of my JBI sisters!

Its totally normal to feel that way. I was scared out of my mine days before surgery. But when my day came, the anxiety went away and all my excitement came back. You will be fine. =) Good luck!

Totally normal! I wasn't nervous at all until my DH was driving me to the surgery. I was so excited before and then I totally had a panic attack on the way there and started crying. By the time we got to the office I was fine for the most part, just nervous but not panicky anymore.

It will all be ok!

I was having the same anxiety and nerves that you are having but I realized that I am not doing myself any good by keeping myself freaked out like that. I won't let myself think about it... every time I start thinking about it, I distract myself. Hopefully I can continue to do this until Friday b/c I hate feeling like that.

I hope you can get your mind off it and these next 24 hours (or less) go fast for you! Everything will be fine and you will have some pretty boobies afterwards!

I am so happy for you! I am still waiting for my BA (Jan.15 UGH!) Surgery is a serious thing but just keep your mind on the prize and you will be fine. You are going to look amazing after the surgery and the great part is that you will be happy and confident. Best of luck to all the JBI girls with upcoming surgeries!
