![]() | 8 hour class postop?
Hi girls! I know people have mentioned going back to work a few days to a week after surgery. I am having surgery this Friday (OMG!!!) and have a Saturday class 9-5 eight days after. The surgery coordinator said I should be fine. I originally booked this date thinking my class started the following week. I guess I am worried about being extremely uncomfortable and I do not want to draw attention to myself. It is my last class and a lot of material. Will this be torture, or will sitting still not be a problem? Thanks!

You should probably be fine; although everyone is different. If you follow instructions and rest as you should after your surgery -- you will be okay by day 8. Most of us run into trouble by doing too much and over extending ourselves. So follow your post op instructions by the letter! Good luck!! And Congratulations!!!

of you stay well rested during those 8 days i think you will be perfectly fine. the only discomfort i had by then was the heaviness and weight on my chest/back so if you're sitting it should be no problem. good luck!

Thank you. I will take it very easy then! My family is all being wonderful. It has to work out, I already paid for the class! Genie good luck and I hope we both have an easy transition into class. It's my last class for my MBA, but I really wanted to squeeze in the surgery before I get a job. The 8 hr class is impossible even without just having had surgery!
