Scaried now......switching to overs

Okay, so I thought I was ready to make the switch from unders to overs, but now I'm scaried.

I was originally a 34A so not alot of tissue at all and will be using my same 371cc implants but going over the muscle this time.

Who was thin and A cup and got overs and everything is okay?

I would check into this a little more if I were you. Is your Doctor giving you a good break on the money, or are you paying a fair amount anyway? I think there are other ways around these problems than going over, since there is more chance for the implants to show. Just because your doctor seems to think that is the solution (or he says that is the only solution), what he is actually saying is 'that is the only solution HE knows'.

I forget what your problems are. But I have had 3 operations in one year. And I have since acquired!: On my right breast, CC, Closed upper pocket, 2 knuckles from the implant sticking out, which are very visable when wearing a bra since they are on my cleavage area, and an mis-shaped lower pocket. On my left side, I still have double bubble, and bottoming out, which came back after a revision to fix it.

I have been going crazy trying to find an excellent revision doctor, because I have been told by doctors I have seen, that this is a serious case, and needs special attention. How many opinions have you gotten???

My concern for you is that bottoming out is consider a rare complication we just see it all the time on JBI because if you have a complication you stumble here.. It truely think is not the norm... However with that said I have been told that overs have a higher chance of bottoming out ... One of the reasons I choose to go under was less likely to bottome out... However I did... and so did you.... Why would a surgeon want to put a implant in a pocket that has a higher risk when you are allready at risk???? I have been on so many consults for my bottoming out and not one ever suggested overs...

I hope that does not sound too strong but I am in your boat sista and I am scared like you that I will pick the wrong PS the wrong operation ect.. I wish you the best... If at all call talk to your PS agian to calm your fears about changing your pocket...

current problems. CC in right, Bottoming out and double bubble in left. He wants to switch from unders to overs because my current pockets are all jacked up. He said I will have NEW pockets with overs and assures me they will look better then now....but I just worry since it's my 3rd breast augmentation in less than year and half!!!

all the girls with complications, so sorry this all happened to you.

I have overs I am tiny, and went for a post op yesterday, and he said everything is great.
my stats are listed.

I hope this works out for you afterall even though we all want big round beautiful boobs we want HEALTHY ones above it all.

I am getting overs and I am very tiny. My ps only does saline overs as he feels this is the safest way to go. Done subfacially. I'll let you know when I've had it done. Seen many photos of his patience and they look great.

I do not have overs. And I have no idea what I will be getting cause I am going to an extrememly great doctor in Tennessee, and have been recommended to him several times by other doctors! So I know he is excellent. I am going to put my trust in him, apparently he has never had a case of bottoming out returning. That's what I needed to hear. He is suppossed to be an expert at it. I have made my appointment for Dec 1 ! I hope he is going to go thru my immframatory folds, since I already have them, and need one of the scars revised very badly anyway, that's a good thing. Because I don't want him going thru my aerola's (HOPEFULLY he won't have to when he finally see me) since I already have those scars. He really has to examine me in order to let me know anything, and I don't want to take the time or spend the money going twice. I just want it over with.

I have CC in right, and bottoming out and double bubble on left too! I also have pocket deformity on my bottom right, and 2 knuckles from the implant sticking out on my right upper cleavage area! So I need a good doctor!

Only one of the doctors that I went to suggested overs, but I mentioned the doctor I just made the appt. with to him, and he said that was the doctor who trained him, and the best thing to do is go to this Doctor in Tennessee since i have all these major problems.

I just don't want (and am sooooo hoping) this will be my last time! This will be the 4th in one year!!! And I havent even had a chance to enjoy my breasts at all due to operation recovery and/or infections! So wish me luck, I need it!

Right now with unders I feel like my muscle really holds the implant down but not in a good way! I am super active so sometimes I think overs is probably a better choice for me!

I am getting overs on Friday. I will let you know if I have any complications. I think a fresh start with a new pocket sounds like a good idea for someone who has had as many problems. Since you are going with silicone, it should feel nice. I know a lot of PS will not do overs with saline.

One thing to think about (and ask your PS) is if your muscle will be okay....I have CC on one side with overs right now and usually when you get CC when you have a re-do the PS will switch pocket position to decrease your chance CC coming back. I asked some PSs in the Ask A PS forum on this site and they said that marionette sutures are used to hold the muscle down if you switch from overs to unders but they are tricky to do and sometimes do not hold, which leads to other problems. My PS is going over again and not switching to unders because he said the same thing, that the muscle could "ride up". But I would have been going from over to under, not sure if it would be the same thing if you reversed it. Maybe post in Ask A PS and talk to your own as well? Either way, good luck!

PS...having my re-do to fix my CC and upgrade a little in 4 days!

I have overs and am pleased with my result.My PS said that my pec muscles were not big enough to have unders for my 600cc implants and besides I had enough breast tissue starting out as a C/D cup.

I started off as an AA and have overs (300cc) and I have had no problems what so ever. I've had all my post-op appointments and my surgeon said everything's fine

well i hope me switching from unders to overs will give me that new start. I have really no other options.
