![]() | They fit your body perfectly!
OK so I'm not complaining, well hell I guess I am but where else can I complain about something so ridiculous than here, where I know I will have a handful of women who are wonderful and understand! Since I got my breast augmentation I've gotten a lot of people telling me that they look like they fit my body/frame great. This is a compliment I know but why does it make me feel fat? I'm not tiny but I am small at 5'4 125. I got 550 hp, which seems big but maybe they don't look that big on me? I wanted them to fit my body, as I had DD's before kids and I have DD/DDD now. BUt whenever someone says that I feel fat, like secretly they are thinking "She needed bigger boobs to even out the rest of her" I KNOW this sounds RIDICULOUS so why does this even enter my brain. I guess if they were c/d cup I would be ok with people saying this and I am sure if someone said OMG they look so huge on you, I would be SO offended. Why does this bother me? I know it should make me feel good. Am I that hard to please? Anyone else have conflicting feelings when they get breast augmentation comments? Like I know someone is trying to give me a compliment so why am I reading into it too much? OH well. Thanks for letting me rant a bit.

Why??? Probably because society programs women from the onset. There is a solution though! Start loving every bit of yourself now. Get really comfortable in that skin of yours and, I PROMISE YOU... a compliment will be just that to you And even better... a negative will slide off of you with no effect except to make the person that delivered it to you look bad.It all starts with your internal dialog, we all continually have snippets of conversation with ourselves in our head, you know... when you look in the mirror, you mentally say "my thighs look big" or something like that, instead be conscious of it and every time you catch yourself thinking a negative, over-rule it with a positive... in time you will believe and actually BE all of those good things you tell yourself. Amazingly, in time the rest of the world will get on board too!!! |

If it bothers you it's maybe because you might be feeling a little uncomfortable about your weight. Although, at 5'4 and 125 pounds, you sound like a fine weight to me. We're always toughest on ourselves though. Our own worst critic. Women definitely need to be less hard on themselves. (Me included!)

Maybe all they are trying to say is that they look good and suit you well.

I think you reading too much into what people say. Take what they say as a compliment! I think that we women as so hard on ourselves. Besides, I have similar stats and I think I have a good proportion.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Take it as a compliment. But, if you're caught up on your weight (which you really shouldn't be), then it's going to weigh down on your mind. Look at yourself in a positive light, girl!

Thanks all, I feel pretty comfortable with my weight I'm pretty athletic I think that was what was bothering me. I feel small, but when people say that I think maybe I am not as small as I feel. I know they are trying to give a compliment. It's just those thoughts that enter your mind that you cannot help and a little bit of a vent haha. I'm very pleased with my results

It's easy to read into what people say! However, you look great, and I think what people probably mean is that they fit your body as opposed to being overly huge like some people think of when they picture breast implants. I actually think it's truly a compliment, like, "Oh! Those really look nice!" We are our worst enemies! But, seriously, I don't think anyone is meaning that you look fat. You truly look great! |

Ha ha ha ha I know exactly what you mean! LOL! Like someone saying, "wow, you look healthy!" I immediately think: FAT! So messed up, lol. Like unsure said above, I think the complimenters are just saying that you didn't go top heavy and that your boobs look really good on you. My friends, when I told them I was getting my breast augmentation, got wide-eyed and said, "Don't go too big!" I'm sure when they see my results they'll think, "phew, she looks good! I was afraid she'd look ridiculous" and they'll say out loud, "wow, they really suit your frame!"
