Stretch Marks?

there is no guarantee that keeping your breasts moisturized will prevent stretch marks but ive been putting on bio oil 1 month before and ever since my breast augmentation just to make sure. also- drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated. and if your breasts itch post-surgery, do not scratch!!

Can you get bio oil anywhere? ive never heard of it before. my surgery is in 3.5 weeks. thanks!

I ended up getting stretch marks from both of my pregnancies...I didn't get anymore from my breast augmentation but now that my boobies are much bigger..my stretch marks are so noticeable. When I wear something lowcut I have to put foundation on them to hide the stretch marks.

My surgery is 12/7 and I started using Emu Oil all over my body. I figure it's best to be proactive instead of reactive.

thanks for all the replies! its been 3 days post op so far and have been putting bio oil on my breasts twice a day, will let you know how it works out!

I did not get any stretchmarks. I did start using Mederma at the four week mark. It was good on preventing the stretchmarks and my incisions are looking really good.

I had a lot of stretch marks before hand, and the breast augmentation stretched them out that you can hardly see them anymore...guess I had the opposite affect.

I am stretch mark prone too, so hopefully I don't get anymore while I d&F

Hi! I am stretch-mark prone as well; I was a heavy kid so even at a 34A pre-breast augmentation I had stretch marks everywhere except my arms and stomach! :L
Post-1st breast augmentation, I got more stretch marks on my boobs, post-2nd breast augmentation, they are getting worse but not crazy or anything. I just got a 520cc 10 days ago. If you already have some stretch marks, I would expect them to get a little worse but it shouldn't be too bad. I also tried the Vitamin E...didn't work. I think if you're going to get them, then you're going to get them...from my own experience, that is. Good luck!

I bought my bio oil to be prepared a couple weeks ago, and here I am 3 days post op and I have forgotten to use it. Aaahhhh! What am I thinking!?? DUH. Going to put it on right now. Jeez what a ditzy moment

I'll try anything to decrease the chance of strech marks.

I have been using cocoa butter, but I'm freaking out that they're not going to go away! Where do they sell bioOil?

I am extremely stretch mark prone too so this was a big concern of mine. I have stretch marks all over my bum and thighs from putting on some weight when I was 21. However I'm 5 months post op now and NO stretch marks. I used bio oil every night for the first 2 months. But I am of the opinion that if you're gonna get them, you will, as they are genetic. Probably keeping the skin moisturised would help though!

When I was pregnant I got stretch marks on my upper thighs and on my butt but not on my tummy! I'm pretty sure my tummy grew the most and yet no stretch marks - weird.

Hopefully my boobs get a lot bigger without stretch marks just like my tummy *fingers crossed*. My doc also recommends massaging with Bio-oil so I will be doing that.

I used retin A on my stretch marks and it worked wonderfully. You have to get it through prescription. Am I the only one that has used retin A?
