![]() | Embarrassed to get measured...
I've never been professionally measure before- is it bare breasted?? I'm not modest usually, but whoever measures me will obviously know I have implants. I don't want some teenager at VS. Maybe Nordstrom would be more professional? This is totally freaking me out, maybe I should bring hubs with me for support, lol.

Haha I'm the same way. I got measured for the first time recently because I needed a nude color bra instead of the Victoria Secrets "Pink" collection bra. I remember the girl at Nordrom standing there for a couple minutes and then saying "do you want me to leave while you try that on"? I was like yeeaahh. I then told her that I was only buying one today since I'm getting a breast augmentation in December so I'll be back. Maybe I'll be less modest with the new ones but I doubt it. But yeah, I'd go to Nordstoms. |

I was nervous also and yet to do it. I didn't feel comfortable letting them measure me bare breast either, so I did not. I used a few of the measuring techniques I found on this site, then went to VS and Soma and pulled a bunch of bras in that size range. I then asked the sales lady for her opinion on the fit. I did tell them I had surgery and all of this was new to me and they were very helpful. They showed me in both stores what fit best as I tried on my selections. VS was 32DD and Soma was 32D which is what I measure. Soma lady told me 32D is sister size to 34C which is a good backup and easier to find at general stores. They showed me how to adjust straps properly and a few other tips. One good thing is once you know your size at a particular store, you can order online from them.....especially the bras on sale to get great deals. Go enjoy your bra shopping!

I have been sized three different places and they all did it differently! At VS they measured over my shirt, bra, everything. At Macy's they measured me bare-breasted, and a specialty bra shop measured me over my bra. VS was the only one that gave privacy while I tried bras on, the other two stayed in the dressing room, gave me advice on fit, adjusted the bra, etc. I have always heard Nordstrom is a great place to be sized but there isn't one around here. Specialty bra shops are good too because they have seen it all, I think the place I went gets a lot of mastectomy/reconstruction patients in their stores so they seemed very professional.

![]() | I use to be very self-conscious about having someone measure me. I found this great place in Virginia Beach, VA call "The Full Cup". They are very professional adult ladies who are very knowledgeable. They made me feel at ease and I didn't have a problem allowing her to size my VERY deflated/soggy/saggy tatas..lol www.thefullcup.com They carry mostly European lines to enhance the perfect fit. Our best selling lines include: Aubade, Anita, Eveden, Freya, , Elixir, Lejebay, Panache, Simone Perele, Prima Donna and MarieJo to name a few. Here is their info: Store Hours Monday through Saturday 10am-6pm | Thursday 10am-8pm Va. Beach Store (757) 226-9441 / 1860 Laskin Road, Ste. 121 Alexandria Store (703) 836-9441 / 218 N. Lee Steet, Ste. 206

They can measure with your clothing on. Ive been measured a few times, all with clothing on standing in the middle of the store, I dont reccomend you to get measused at VS, All the times I have been measured there they always got it wrong. I was once measured a 34C on my pre breast augmentation boobs and that was clearly not the case I could barely fill out a B cup. I have also been measured at Nordstrom, 2 times. Once the woman just measusred my band she was actually about 22. She was a bit off on the cup size, The second time at a different nordstrom an older woman measured me told me what suggested and than sent me to the sales woman who than went around the store finding all bras in my size and helping me out. Another place that is usually always good is FOH I hope that helped. I was nervous at nordstrom because I was showing the sales lady the bras and what I did or didnt like and I was wondering if she clearly knew IMPLANTS! but as long as I am wearing the correct bra there is nothing to be embarressed about. She helped and didnt make me feel uncomfortable at all. If your ever unsure about someone who measured you just go somewhere else. Goodluck girl!

Honestly, the two times I was measured at Nordies, once was with bra and the other was without. The first time I did feel uncomfortable, hence wearing the bra, but they are beyond professional and NICE there that I didn't have any issue whatsoever going the second time. She and I also talked about implants and how they "wear" differently in bras so, basically, she said don't go too big because they can be difficult to find a bra to work with them. I plan to go back in a few months and get measured again. Probably bare because I'll want the best fit possible. And if my girl is still there, hopefully by her since I'm comfortable with her. Oh, and VS is crap. They measure you over clothes and never, ever measured me correctly. I don't buy bras there. |

I just started my new bra shopping a week ago. my first stop was VS. AGH ! she measured over my clothes a sweater and heavy bra. she told me i was a 34 C. then she brought me a box of bra's to try on ,, for "sizing" reasons. I ahted every one she brought. they where so huge feeling and bulky ! super padded. then she gave me a box of 34 D's same problem, I just paid out over 6000 for boobs i dont want to have a extra padded bra! FOH i liked so much better, they did not measure me but there was only one gal there. but there padding was removable! still kind of bulky feeling I am so NOT done shopping, I hate shopping for clothes and I know why, my luck finding a bra has not gotten easier yet! everything i have seen says measure over your bra. but I would assume that does not count over a add a cup size bra ! I think for now im going to stick with more normal stores for Bra's Good luck !!!!

I went to VS and the lady measured me at one size and gave me a card to give to the fitting room gal. The fitting room gal gave me the two styles, and as she was handing them to me said, "We don't carry this size so I am giving you the sister size" The card said 32D and she gave me a 38B. The band was sooo big and the cup soooo small. I was very irritated to say the least. On my way out another (40ish) lady asked if I found what I needed and I told her what happened... Measured, card, size, sad... She said, well honey I am sorry, we don't carry your size, but you can order from the catalog. So I went to FOH and the lady there measured me, brought a ton of styles and sizes and we found 3 that fit great! I went to Nordstrom and had a great experience there too! VS has only given me problems with sizing wrong and attitude. I hope my experience helps you in trying stores. Oh, and my DH was not helpful. He just wanted me to buy thongs! LOL |
