![]() | has the economy postponed your BA date?
2009 was supposed to be the year for me. i have my $7000 saved, and i even have five vacation days banked for recovery time. my job is what you may call "relatively secure", but you never know. i heard implants will pay themselves back in one way or another - men buying you drinks, etc. what do you think? ~Christy |

The economy is pretty unstable right now and yeah, it's kinda scary. It didn't stop me though. I'm hoping my implants pay themselves back just from the added self-confidence they'll give me. Anything else good that comes with them, that's icing on the cake!

![]() | The economy is one reason why I am putting off my revision for a while. With things being so unstable I figure there is no reason to go into more debt right now. I can live with what I have while I save to pay cash. If I didn't have kids in college I wouldn't be is debt at all!!! |

No it has not stopped me because I honestly believe there will always be something that may be a what if....so I figured I will go for it. My hopes is that the BL/breast augmentation will give me back some self confidence and make my body look more like it should again LOL

Honestly, I think the economy helped me get a better price for my breast augmentation. I have been saving for 3 years and right now so many PS's in my area are lowering thier prices due to the economy. I consulted with about 7 PS's and found a wonderful one. His price was much higher than I was able to pay right now, but I talked to him and he came down for me. I think if times were great, there would be no wiggle room anywhere.

I figure I've been waiting over 28 years for this, I really don't want to put it off. My job is pretty secure right now and I get to keep whatever is left of my department budget after paying my assistant, and he is pretty cheap right now, so I am going to pay cash with the money I am saving (I will not go into debt for my boobies) before I have to give him a raise, LOL! If you have the cash, I say go for it. If you would have to charge it, I would say wait. It took me years, but other than my mortgage, I am DEBT FREE and plan to stay that way. I will be saving for a car next, but the boobies come first. Tee Hee! Less than 2 months now till breast augmentation!

The economy should have stopped me since I only work one day a week due to constant migraines and DH who works at Ford is laid off a great deal so really now was not the time for a breast augmentation but DH said to go for it anyway and we did we had to get a loan for the girls. I had my down payment in cash but that was all. |

![]() ![]() | It depends on how the economy is affecting YOU. Only you know how realistic this is for you, and how stable your job is. Me, I am still on the hook for another 3 days, waiting on layoff news. If I don't hear anything by Friday then I am safe (for this year, anyway.) Knowing what I know about this process, I would say if anyone is questioning the stability of their job or their SO's job...I say now is not the time. The one thing I have in my corner now is that I eliminated all of my debt, so if I do get laid off, that's one less thing to worry about. If I ever do get a breast augmentation, it's cash all the way. If you wait a month, or six, or even a year...what do you have to lose? If no one loses their job, the money will be there and you can get them. It's not a big deal, IMO. Think about complications too. Lots and lots of the women on here could give you very high numbers on what their revision(s) have cost. If someone is getting a breast augmentation and doing so is draining every last bit of credit/savings...what on Earth do you do if something goes wrong?!?! I know, I'm not very much fun...but it's the truth. Complications can be physically painful and emotionally tough to deal with. I don't want to have complications and no job...that's just too much!

Nope - didn't stop me or slow me down at all. I'm the type that spends what I have... so if I blow $7000 on a breast augmentation, I'll just end up spending less on other things. If I didn't spend it on a breast augmentation, I'd probably blow it on my wedding or something else.

Finances are such a personal thing. But, this past year I experienced a significant health crisis, followed by a dog/vet bill crisis...and I have vowed to never go into debt again. Which means I have to wait for surgery. And I'm going to do it in stages: first a lift, then augmentation (if I still want it). I promised myself that I will only pay cash. And that's the deal for me. But, no, in my opinion, you will not 'get $7000 back' in drinks, no matter who you are, what your've boobs look like, lol! You implants might be 'great' might make you feel great, but they are not going to 'pay themselves off' (unless you get into stripping or something, lol!). |

I think I got a good price because of the economy. Since I have the cash I'm paying in cash. No financing, no high interest rates. I don't believe having surgery "pays for itself". I had to laugh at that one. I don't need anyone to buy me drinks or anything else. My tatas don't make me. I make the tatas...

I think the economy got me a great price with my PS. I was expecting to pay several more thousand dollars after speaking with a girl at my gym who went to him like 5 years ago. But, I never would be going through with it if things in my life were unstable because of the economy. I don't need boobs that badly! lol, I don't know if you can count on boobs paying you back, tho you'll def be able to get more attention, I'm sure.
