I am getting my operation to fix my CC, and all my other problems on Dec 1st, and am starting to get a little worried about the recovery (especially since I am going to be in a hotel). I imagine it will be worse than any that I've had so far. I had a revision for bottoming out and double bubble, and a hematoma operation. Actually I did well on the original breast augmentation and the other two, handled my recovery without a lot of pain, but I am worried about this one due to the CC! It's hurting me now, and is a hard ball on my chest. Please let me know how well you guys did, and what to expect? And how long it's really bad? And any suggestions on what I might need to bring to the hotel with me. I am also going to have a drain (or two). thanxxxxx |

Hi! I just had a pocket revision and CC fixed on one side 5 days ago...the left side was a little more sore coming out of surgery and we had a little complication. When my PS was trying to cut the scar tissue out towards my cleavage the tissue wouldn't let go so he kept trying and it go too hot and my skin is very thin, no real breast tissue really at all (they use a cauterizing instrument or something with heat in it to cut) and it made my skin on the outside of my body blister from the heat on the inside of the pocket. Looks worse than it is, I just have a blister towards my midline in my cleavage area. But yes, I did notice the left side more sore than the right. Other than that I haven't noticed a significant difference in pain level from my first breast augmentation, I did bruise a lot more with this one too though. I also stayed in a hotel and it wasn't bad. I am at day 5 and now not really in pain, my incisions are just super itchy! :L Good luck with your revision!

kynchanted, so glad that you are not feeling too bad! Sorry to hear about your complication though. Will it go away completely? My skin is very skin next to my cleavage area on the breast I have the CC in, so I am going to have to get Alloderm, also because I have 2 knuckles from the implant poking out there. I hope that all goes well with your recovery. Keep me informed, and take good care of yourself. Who is staying with you? Any suggestions on things I will need to bring with me to the hotel?? Where did you go to get your surgery, and who did it? How many days did you have a drain in? Did the doctor create more cleavage for you? (Sorry for all the questions!) |

Hi! No worries about the questions...I guess I was lucky since I had my implants for 7 years before I got CC. As for the blistering through, it's not a big deal, it will heal fine. So far the CC is completely gone, my PS removed the entire scar tissue capsule so it is as if it was never there. My PS didn't put drains in (he said he would only do so if the site was not dry after he was done but I guess it was which was fine with me, I had the drains with my first breast augmentation and they bothered me more than anything). My hubby stayed with me in the hotel since we travelled 2 hours away to have the surgery; it was in Bonn, Germany (I live near Trier, about 2 hours away). I would bring some food that you like since the hotel didn't really have anything I wanted and something to drink. Maybe a pillow too, and makeup remover wipes (I used them to clean the marker and iodine off of me some so I could go to the restaurant). Also zip-up hoodies so you don't have to lift up your arms! My PS definitely moved them closer together, but I don't have cleavage yet since it is still super swollen (my cleavage is) and my implants haven't really moved at all yet. Once they drop and settle some my PS said they will be closer together...I have pics posted if you want to see, even though they are still ugly and a little crazy looking it is a huge improvement over what I had. ![]() Hope this helps some! I would say just plan on it being similar to your first breast augmentation, I was surprised that I could lift my arms up though, the first time around I couldn't even wash my hair for awhile...this time I am not nearly as stiff!
