How many consults did you go on before finding the PS right for you?

I'm in the process of setting up consultations and was just wondering.... How many consults did you girls go on before you found the PS you had the actual surgery with?

I went on 5 different consults. The PS i picked was my 4th consult. GL =)

I only went to one. I liked him a lot and felt very comfortable. I knew he was the right one for me.

I went on one, however I did extensive research talking to others in my area who had met with other PS's or had actually had work done by them.

I looked at their sample pictures on their website, which are the best of the best, and if they didn't meet my expectations, I didn't bother.

My last reason was because my friend was thinking of getting a breast augmentation and met with the PS who I had met with and ended up using him before I did!

So, just one, but it wasn't as easy as that.

I only went to one also. I had three setup but like the first so much, I just didn't want to confuse my self with the choices . . . .

I went to 3 and went with the 3rd one. it was hard to pick between the 2nd and 3rd i definately wasn't going to go with the first when he said he would only give me 175 too

I went on 4 consults. I liked the first one alot, but when I met the last ps i knew she would be the one I would choose. I felt very confortable with her and she talked alot more about what I wanted by breasts to look like rather than just size.

I did alot of research and went with the only one i had a consult with. He was so experienced and i felt comfortable with him.

I first started my research about 5 years ago. At that time I went to 1 consult & stopped. Then I restarted my research again this year. I believe I went to 5-6 consults. I choosed my 3rd consult, but I still went to a few more afterwards just to be sure. Then I narrowed it down to 2, then 1 =)

I consulted with 3 surgeons...but it turned out that I liked the very first one I went to best. I would have also gone with #3, if I didn't like #1 so much. #2 (a woman) was pretty awful.

I met with 8 PS's!!!!!!!

I started my consults last year and went to about 4 with a good friend of mine. I still didn't have all my money saved when she decided on one and went ahead with her breast augmentation. I wasn't impressed by her surgeon or her care after so I knew I was going to keep looking. I had an abnormal mammo, so had to wait another 6 mths for a followup mammo so I kept looking. The 7th PS I met with was amazing and both my husband and myself felt very comfortable with him. We met with another and also liked him. About a month later after I got clearance on my mammo, we met with both the PS we likes for another consult and it was just clear as day who we trusted more.

It took me meeting 7 Dr's before I felt that connection and everything seemed to line up including the price. At first I was frustrated wondering if I was overthinking it all, but the truth was that I hadn't found the right one for me yet. In my area,there a so many great PS's that it's hard to narrow it down!!

I only went to one. He did my friends boobs, her moms and her aunts. My friend looked amazing after 2 weeks and I knew I had to go with her doc. Met with him, loved him and the staff, loved the befores and afters on his web page. I felt great going and leaving and thats where I'm staying!

I went on two. The first PS I seen only did implants through the crease incision and told me that he could not operate on me because my right breast didn`t have a crease.

My second PS was a PS that I had heard about from a couple of people that were very happy with his results. I also had 2 consults with him within 3 years and he was who I went with and I have no regrets.

I went on 3. I suggest you make notes after each one, and note how they made you feel. The more the merrier!! Goodluck!

Thanks for all these great answers!! I have 3 set up right now and couldn't be more excited! Hopefully they all go well.

I do have a list of questions and will plan on taking notes after/during the consults!! Ahah already making me nervous girls!

I think I went to like 15 Plastic surgeons. I think 13 in the USA and 2 down in Brazil. I liked them all but felt safe with number 12. My surgery is next week!!!

I went w/ a friend to a few. After meeting With Dr. Pousti, I knew he would be my plastic surgeon. Not only does he have a great personality, but he is very honest. Which I think anyone would appreciate.

I went to four consultations, i had the fifth and sixth one scheduled by the time i went to my forth consultation.

I felt most comfortable with the forth consult so i really didn't find a need to keep searching. I would've gone to more had I not felt like i found the right doctor for me.

Best advice is to find the PS for you. Discuss all your options and don't assume the doctor understands what you're trying to relay. Unfortunately it's not a one-stop shop!

I only had one, straight away I felt he was the man for me.
The nurse was also part of the consult and she seemed very friendly, interested and very part of the process.
I had three consults booked, cancelled the other two and booked surgery for 6 weeks ahead.

No regrets
