BA Textures.. what is the difference?

I try to click on the section about this on the site..but it doesn't work. Can someone please explain textures to me. What options do you have..what is the difference between them etc.. Thanks bunches

My PS told me that the smooth ones last longer than textured. She said that the textured can ripple, causing them to get a crack in them (or something like that).

Textured breast implants were designed to reduce the chance of capsular contracture. Some information in the literature on small numbers of patients suggests that surface texturing reduces the chance of severe capsular contracture, but clinical information from studies of a large number of women with Mentor implants shows no difference in the likelihood of developing capsular contracture with textured implants compared to smooth-surfaced implants.

It's all about your PS's preference.
