High profile?? Kind of freaking out!!

OK everyone, I am totally freaking out right now. With my PS, I had to have a surgery date scheduled and have everything paid in full before I got to try on different sizes of implants. When I went in to try on, I felt like the nurse helping me didn't know what she was going. She brought in 300-350ccs implants for me to try. And they looked tiny on me! It was like hello, don't you see that i'm a heavier girl and am going to need something more than this??

Anyway, we ended up deciding on 550cc silicone HP's. I never asked to try on 550 mods, and she never offered so I guess I thought they didnt make them or something. Anyway, and now that i'm thinking about it, she never asked to see the pictures that I brought of what I wanted to end up like, and she never really asked what kind of results I was going for period. But I am hoping to end up with a C or D cup, and pretty natural looking. Now after researching all day, all I have found is that HP's are fake looking, and give you the bubbly cleavage look, which is not what i'm wanting! I just want to look proportionate and normal, not fake!! Ugh so now I can't figure out what to do. I'm pretty sure she already ordered my implants and i'm worried that high profiles are going to make me look fake! I just dont know what to do!! I posted pics of me trying on the hp sizers and I thought they looked fine, but now i'm really worried about fake/round/bubbly cleavage look.

What should I do??? Check out my pics and let me know what you think. I'm freaking out!! The other problem is that I dont have any more time to take off work so I don't think I could even go in again to try on different sizes if that were even an option. Eek. HELP!

HP's don't always look fake. In your case however I think they may be too narrow for your chest if you wear a 36-38 band. I would guess you would go with mods. Maybe call and schedule a sizing appointment with the actual ps. GL hun!

I have HPs and they do not look fake, in fact I am surprised just how real my breasts look. (Take a look at my pics) My surgeon choose HPs for me due to the shape of my breast. My natural breast have no upper pole to them, and if I would have gone with mods, i would still have no upper pole. Maybe they are showing you HP's due to your shape.

When in doubt go back for a second appointment and ask to see all types. Something else to keep in mind, is some surgeons prefer that type (HP over Mods)

I agree with BG. I have hp's and I think they look too real. I realize now that I like the fake round boob look. Good luck, go back for more trials if unsure.

The HP's don't necessarily give you a fake look! I was worried about that at one point, too, after a consult with a ps who *only* uses HP.

What HP's do is give a good amount of projection in relation to the width of the implant. You may want some decent projection to get the right proportions you are after. So long as the width of the implant is good for your breast width and ribcage, etc, you should be fine. Do you know what your breast width is?

FYI, Mentor HP's that are 550cc have a diameter of 13.6cm, and a projection of 5.5cm.

Honestly, if you aren't 100% comfortable with the implants and the reasons why they were chosen, I think you should go back in. You should definitely talk with your ps about why mod+ or mods would or wouldn't be a good choice for you. Even if it means taking more time off work! Definitely worth it for the peace of mind. I have HPs and I love them. I don't think they always look fake. It depends on the amount of breast tissue you have and your body as well. I have many photos, if you want to talk a look

Girl, yours don't look fake, and I am not lesbo and I keep looking at them. I hope mine look like yours. My doc pretty much only uses HP too and he said for my size, I need HP or I would look stupid all sideboob and no projection. I told he better not be giving me Nurse Ratched boobs!!!

Did he measure your BWD? Well i have a 31" ribcage...and i was thinking i would have to have mod's.

But he measured my BWD and wanted me to have HP's 550 same as you...My BWD is 13.5 and the implants is 13.6 so it would actually give me some side boob but alot of projection...so i think it's going to fill out my chest area very well. i am still a little worried but after thinking i'm that..i think it will look great

My BWD was around 12.5 and the range we are considering is between 350 and 420 cc. I am worried they are going to be 2 small.

I agree with the other girls that HPs don't always have the fake look..Definitely depends on the amount of tissue you start with and size. I have HPs and mine don't have that stuck on look but I also started with a decent amount of my own size and tissue. I think 300-350cc's HP would be too narrow for your if you are a 36-38 band, but then again, it also depends on your naturla breast width..how wide your boobs are naturally..so maybe that is why she is suggesting a narrow implant..are your boobs on the narrow side?

I dont think HP look fake at all. I have HP 550/500 silicone, unders and don't look fake. However, I do need to lose some body fat and even if I do, I don't think they will look fake. I have a wider ribcage (37 inches) and the HPs look just fine. I have good cleavage with bras and without a bra they look fine (although I need my right one dropped due to scar tissue). I think you will be great with HPs.

dont think mine look fake, But I could be wrong, I had to get HP if i wanted 400cc. and I am super glad I did, I cant even begin to imagine what kind of side boob I would of had with mod, I was stone cold set on not getting HP I thought that if I did, I would end up with fake looking boobs, Good luck on the choice you have to make, !!

take a peek at my pics i am a smaller girl, but wanted mod+...i was wearing 34bs, i have yet to get measured now, but i was dead set on mod+ because i didnt want to look fake either, but after being measured the doctor said i was would run into too much side boob...i would go back and speak with the doctor and talk about your breast diameter and that you dont want a gap either if they go with hps that aren't big enough to fill out your chest.

Hey girls thank's everyone so much for all the replies! I was freaking out pretty bad so I called my surgeons office and talked with the nurse that fit me, and she explained everything to me. Basically that if I wanted something in the 550 range, if it wasn't HP then they would be too wide for me. So I feel MUCH better about my decision, and soooo appreciate all your responses!
