![]() | Any Pre-BA A cups happy with saline ?
Hi Everyone, I had thought I was pretty dead set on getting saline for my upcoming breast augmentation in January, as I've been concerned about silicone rupturing and not knowing (they can rupture and leak inside, despite them being 'cohesive' ...this is what i read on the Mentor website)...cost of MRIs to check if rupture is suspected, etc. However, I'm starting to question if silicone would be better for me in the long run. Am a 34 A, 5'7" 150 lbs...my PS said he thought I could pull off saline, but I have a risk of rippling on the outside edge and bottom. SO....are there any ladies out there who were A cups before breast augmentation, and happy with their salines ?? How much can you feel rippling and/or the implant ? Does it bother you or no big deal ? Thanks everyone, you all are SOOOOO helpful !!

Hey love .....I was an A cup to a baby B cup before my breast augmentation ....i ended up getting 450-500cc saline Hp unders....and I love the new 's I have now .... i feel no rippling @ all.....i may be wrong but i think rippling occurs mostly to females who get over the muscle w/ saline. Good luck.

I'm 5'4 115 lbs, and was an A cup before breast augmentation. I have 375cc saline unders and I LOVE them. I have zero rippling. Mine are still relatively new. I got them on July 27th so they still feel a little funny sometimes, but other than that they are just great!

Stats in sig. Pics are posted. ![]() I had AA before breast augmentation with very little breast tissue. Natrelle 68, round mods, unders, and I have no rippling, I've even lost another 5 lbs since surgery. The first week I could feel the edge of the implant on my left side but that went away by the second week. I choose saline for the fact that if it ruptures, saline will dissipate into my body with minimal complications. At my age that was important. Good Luck with your choice! |

![]() | I started as an A cup and I went ahead and still got saline...even though my doc prefers silicone. He thinks you get more of a real feel with silicone. I got partial unders and I love my salines. I was able to feel the rippling on the bottom side of my boobs, but not see the rippling. I do not have any ripples that show, and since I put on a little weight(prego) I don't feel it like I used to. When I got down to a lower weight I could barely see one little tiny ripple on the lower cleavage of one of my boobs. Hubby could not see it, only I could and even when I wore cleavage showing tops it didn't show at all. I don't regret my salines, I'm so happy I got them! |

I'm an AA cup and since I'm under 22 (in the US) I thought my only option was Saline. I emailed a couple doctors in the area and this is one of the responses I got. As a plastic surgeon with many years of experience, I have been extremely pleased (as have my patients) with the results of using gel implants.* The natural feel and the absence of risks of feeling or seeing folds from saline implants, make this an ideal product for use in augmentation.* In addition, I have never seen a rupture or leak with the current gel implants available.* Because of this positive experience, I do not discriminate age-wise for patients who want them. Personally, I would choose the Sils over saline... The chances of them rupturing are really slim. You'd have to me literally smashed/impailed in the chest, like a bad car accident or something similar. A lot of girls that have switched from Saline to Silicone have said they are much happier w. The silicone too. Hope that helped!!

I haven't personally had breast augmentation though I am considering silicone over saline. A friend of mine has 400cc saline under the muscle (had them for 3 years, she was a B cup before and is now a DD) and although you can't see them, if she bends over you can feel rippling from the bottom side of the breast. I'm not sure whether that is attributed to the large size she got or what. If as a B cup before, she could feel rippling, I'm afraid that as an A cup, I would be able to feel it even more on me.

I was a 32B/34A pre-breast augmentation and chose salines. I am still happy with my choice even tho' I do have a bit of rippling on the sides and under my boobs. It is not visible, only palpable, when I bend over. And wasn't noticeable at all, until I lost weight post-breast augmentation. It rarely even think about it. Slinky |

I am very pleasantly surprised at the way my salines feel. I was expecting them to be very firm, but the muscle tissue makes it feels soft. I compared mine to one of my girlfriend's silicones and its really not that different of a feel!

I havent got my saline unders put in yet, but thats what i am planning on getting. I have read that under the muscle is really pretty good at covering rippling. one thing to consider is that rippling happens a whole lot if you get a textured implant because when the implant shifts or drops as you heal the textured surface will bond with the scar tissue that your body had formed around the implant and it will pull this scar tissue down with it as it drops, the scar tissue in turn pulls on your skin and Wala you have a noticable ripple or dent in your cleavage. Just thought I'd mention this. I totally 100 percent support saline over silicone! good luck girl! |

however i just wanted you to know its easier than the surgeons might want you to think to rupture an implant or be exposed to silicone best of luck and good feelings! | |

hi runnergirl, my best friend was a 32aa if that, she got 360cc saline unders and she now has the most beautiful set of fake boobs i have ever seen. she is also quite soft. i myself was a small bcup, went with 460cc left and 470cc right saline unders and love them. i did saline for the exact same reasons you stated above. go for the saline girl!!!

Thank you all for your responses and encouragement. I know silicone is what many choose, and good for them. It is just not (right now) the choice for me. Your posts have all been extremely helpful --- You JBI girls rock !!
