Calling all Ft Myers/Naples ladies

I am trying to find the perfect surgeon in this area. It would be great to get all your recommendations, experiences, and stories all in one spot.

I'm still searching for a doctor as well, so I look forward to seeing the replies to this post! I'll share my consult experiences so far:

Garramone (Fort Myers): Everyone I speak to says he's great and that you "can't go wrong" with him. He came highly recommended by a friend of a friend, and since then another friend's sister has recommended him personally as well. At my consult, he was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, but I did feel a little rushed. He kept leaving the room and I had to get his assistant to have him come back in so I could ask him the rest of my questions. When I tried on implant sizes, I was a little offput by the fact that he didn't seem to care about choosing a specific size (and I am a VERY specific person! I want to know exactly!). He said I could go with mod+ or high profile, and all I needed to do was pick within a 50cc range. I don't know if he gets more specific at pre-op, but I would certainly hope so. I've seen pictures of his results and they are great, so I would trust him to pick the right one, but I just like to know things in advance so I'm not waking up after my surgery and wondering what I got! I'm very confident in his abilities and he's one of my top choices. I may very well end up with him.

Gardner (Naples): Really nice guy, took lots of time answering questions and listening to what I want and trying on sizes. Did not feel rushed at all. I felt very comfortable with him. However, I have one breast that is slightly higher than the other, and I noticed in his results photos, there are quite a few women who had the same thing pre-surgery (and not very noticeable, which mine isn't either), but they were VERY noticeable post-surgery. Like the only thing I can see in those photos is how lopsided the nipples are because it's that obvious. He's also more expensive than Garramone, so I'm not going to use him. His consult was very helpful though.

Farahmand (Fort Myers): I found out about her through one of the members on this forum who loved her, and I have my consult tomorrow (can't wait!). I'll edit this post afterwards. Her photos look absolutely great, so I'm excited. Hopefully after tomorrow I'll have my surgeon chosen and can move forward with getting this thing over with!

Here's my consults so far:

Mandraccia (Ft Myers) - First of all his receptionist had a bad facelift and had stitched in her lips, so right away I was turned off from that. He gave me a lot of info and was personable and even said he would make a house call after surgery because he lives in Cape Coral (close to me). His phone kept ringing and he would forget what he was saying so that was very distracting. I didn't have any recommendations, and I didn't get a good or bad feeling.

Dr Brueck (Ft Myers) - I thought he had a nice personality. Staff were all very nice. I would trust him but I think he's kinda old school and has a set way of doing things. I asked about the areolar incision and he said he prefers crease. Also I asked to see before and afters and they were the same ones that are on his website. I wanted to see more variety, the good and the bad. Also he didnt do any measuring, he only looked at me briefly. I don't feel it was a proper evaluation, but maybe he does that more at the preop appointment. He didn't discuss specifics, just said he would have a range on the operation room table and would put them in, sit me up and see which ones looked the best. Positives is that staff has been working there a long time together, so team atmosphere.

Dr Hasen (Naples) - Very professional. I got a really good feeling from him. All very nice looking staff. Very thorough. I talked with him first before the exam. During the exam he took very accurate measurements and discussed many specifics with me. They took pictures and tried to do a computer imaging but that wasn't working at the time. I also got to try on sizers. The quote was quite a bit higher then the others. The MA said her mom is getting her TT with him soon. She showed me the Recovery Room and we peaked at the OR.

Dr Garramone (Ft Myers) - He was very thorough as well. I didn't get the rushed feeling from him that the others got. He took his time and answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. He did have to leave the room once for about 5 minutes but apologized when he came back in. The MA there had her TT with him and she was very nice.

Dr. John Ritrosky - Ft. Myers (his parents and siblings are doctors - his dad was MY pediatrician!!!)

I had my consult and pre-op with him on the same day. He's very personable and professional. He came in, said what he needed to say, measured and took notes, asked me questions and then let me ask my own questions. We never tried on sizers as this wasn't important to me. I tried the rice sizers at home and they looked ridiculous. I simply told him that I was an A and I wanted to look proportional when it was over (probably a C cup). I left the final decision up to him.

I'm 5'8", 140 lbs, PreBA 38 A. He put saline 450cc's unders in each through the transax location. I'm now a mid C (had surgery Dec 18, 2009) and loving them! If you do decided to have a consult with him, take before and after pictures - I went on line and found girls with similar stats as mine who ended up getting the approximate size I wanted. I cut and pasted them into a document and emailed it to him. He had them there on the day of my surgery and my new boobs look like the pictures I picked out!

His office is new, clean and friendly. I've enjoyed all of his office staff. He has his own surgical suite and uses twilight sedation. I had a really great experience overall. I had to have a mammo (35 yrs old & family history of breast cancer) and get my bloodwork done. I go back in March for my 3 month PO.

He has a website, and I won't lie...I wasn't really impressed with the photos posted. However, I looked through his huge before/after book with the patient coordinator and was much more satisfied. The cost for saline was $5400, but I got a "$500 discount/refund" for booking my surgery with him.

He's done other surgeries on a few of my family members, breast augmentation's on a few friends, was highly recommended by my dermatologist, and my stylist has several clients who used him with complete satifaction.

Hope this helps! I will forewarn you that his appointments tend to run late (I think it's mostly due to the fact that he likes to be thorough). Good luck!

I know you wanted someone in your area, but Dr. Revis is really good. I think it's about 2 hrs away? But WELL worth it

I've heard good things about Revis and actually have an appointment with Roudner who I heard was good too. So I am definitely willing to go wherever I can for good boobs. I will probably make an appointment with each of them.

I'm gonna be a Revis girl!! Thanks for all your help. The extra drive is worth it to me to find the perfect surgeon. And the prices on the east coast are so much cheaper then anybody I've consulted with in Ft Myers/Naples area.

Go to a lot of consults, but make sure you include him...he is the best!
