questions for pre-op appt.

Hi ladies,

My pre-op is 11/6 and I've been trying to write down all my questions.
But just in case I'm forgetting some things, can you all please suggest some
important questions I should be asking during this appt? I want to be as thorough as possible. I'm so afraid I will forget something.

I just had my pre-op this morning and these are the questions I would ask...

- What kind of bra will you go home in? What kind of bra (if any at all) will you be required to wear during recovery?
- Will or can they give you something to help you sleep the night before surgery if necessary? Will they give you something to help come your nerves the morning or day of surgery?
- When can you start exercising again, lift weights, etc...

My doctor (and nurse) were very thorough in going over everything else...hopefully yours will be too! Best of luck to you!

Hi Alicia!

I am at the same stage as you, Ill be seeing my surgeon on the 18th of March, and i have pics to take in (of my ideal breasts) and questions about the post-op pain, and how long i will need assistance in caring for my kids... Its scary!!~But mostly exciting!
...The hardest part for me will be telling my mother............None of my family know and I dont know what their reaction will be....! I dont want to tell them too soon, incase they try and talk me out of it...! I have saved the money and have my mind made up!

Ask to see your surgeons pictures of previous work, and how long he has been doing this surgery specifically... is he a breast specialist..?(doesnt need to be but it is reassuring..)
