I was wondering if everyone could tell me what has been your best piece of advice, your favorite quote from another member, pretty much anything that would help all of us out there that haven't entered Boobyville quite yet. I am getting pretty nervous about the upcomming surgery and I just really would like to feel prepared with advice and great, positive thoughts. |

So I had the hardest time just deciding if I was gonna do the surgery. The size, profile, etc were the easy parts for me. My cousin (who had recently had a gastirc bypass) said "You have to ask yourself, will you still be happy -w- your decision if something goes wrong. Will you be able to deal -w- a possible complication? Just make sure youre prepared for anything." Well needless to say I made my deicision and am so happy that I did! One of the best quotes Ive seen from a JBI member was this one on how to deal -w- the backlash that sometimes comes from a breast augmentation. I copied it and saved it bc it was so true and clever. "If you have a hater it means that you are workin' it! As an attractive woman know that you are hated on daily." Im sorry I cannot rememebr the author, but she def deserves credit, maybe she will recognize it and let us know it was hers. |

For me it was not one piece of advice. It was the whole forum. I do not know anyone who has had this done. I did not have any one I could ask questions to. If you have any concerns or worries no matter how big or how small all you have to do is post it and it usually get answered. The ps can only answer some of the questions. Unless they have gone through it they cannot answer them all. Lots of positive thoughts here. |

For me, I think the most useful thing I learned from this forum was how easy it is to hide the surgery. I had been agonizing over what people would think of me at work and how obvious it would be, but they really do disappear in clothes. Knowing that I didn't have to tell anyone about it made it a lot less stressful.

I totally agree with june5 if it was not for this forum I prollly would have been calling my ps every 5 min. and got a bunch of medical talk but with the girls help here I understand everything alot more and if i dont then all I have to do is ask. If you have any Qs or concerns post it no matter how small or large someone on here will know the answer. As far as my best advice have the heating pad ready LOL | |

The whole forum helped a lot! If it wasn't because of this great place I would've never known all the stuff that I know about breast implants. I can even tell how Plastic surgeons react when they know that you know your stuff. ![]() I remember Selena told me that 475cc wasn't going to be too big for me...and then she showed me her pictures. Actually looking at everybody's pics helped a lot, people with similar stats. For recovery it helped what the girls recommended about sleeping with a bunch of pillows, keep taking the pain meds, drinking a lot of water and resting a lot. That was great advice they gave me and I am very happy with how my recovery went. |
