Going from Saline Unders to Silicone Overs?

I've had my breast implants for quite sometime and have decided to "upgrade". I'm going with silicone overs from saline unders. Has anyone else done this? And if you have did you notice a huge difference other then size? My PS told me that I would get a much better cleavage with silicone overs, but I'm still worried about rippling in the cleavage area. My breast augmentation is schedule for 4/12.

Thanks!

I have no idea myself - I have saline unders - but what happens to that stretched muscle? does it contract back on its own? it would certainly make sense that you would have better cleavage with overs than unders as long as you have the tissue to support it.... I didn't.

Silicone overs

Hi,

Definitely not an expert but my surgeon told me rippling was a saline problem first and formost and it was quite uncommon in silicone especially if you have some breast tissue to cover them which you would have to have to be recommended overs. I didn't change but my 300's silicone overs cant be seen at all through skin.

Bethmomof6 will become famous soon enough
I haven't had my breast augmentation yet but I am getting silicone overs. I don't have much breast tissue but my PS says the silicone have much less rippling and should not be seen under the skin. She said she would not have put saline overs on me. But I know some women with more breast tissue do go with saline over the muscle. I know there are quite a few ladies with overs on the forum. I hope some more of them respond to your post.

GOOD LUCK with your decision.

Thanks for all the replies! Silicone overs weren't an option for me at the time of my breast augmentation. I had little breast tissue so I was told that the best option for me at the time would be saline unders. He also told me that was less chance of rippling with silicone...but theres always a chance...there is no guarantees! I was just curious if anyone had changed from unders to overs..and if they felt there was a difference for them. Thanks again girls...your great!

Hi Lisa,
I will soon be getting a revision from overs to unders. Before my breast augmentation I had size A boobs but not completely flat. I have silicone and (on top of a couple of other problems) I have quite considerable rippling in my cleavage when I bend over. If you dont have alot of breast tissue I would recommend sticking with unders. Good luck!
