Itching after BA

Ok, I had my BA on yesterday and I have swelling and severe itching. I am using ice packs for the swelling, what can i use for the itching. Why is it so itching? The wrapping comes off the gifts tomorrow then i will see the twins. Trying to peak but still not sure. I am as nervous now as before the BA.

itching at the incision - it may just be healing..
if it's your entire breast, it could be because of the ice?

My entire boobs itched!!! Top, side, bottom, incision! lol I think mine was definitely caused by the band I had to wear the first week or so. I just tried to use a lot of lotion!! It will go away!

The itching is most likely from the skin stretching. (I haven't had my BA yet, but had very itchy boobs from my breasts stretching during pregnancy). Cocoa butter is supposed to help. Be careful about getting any lotions on your incision though. Hope you are less itchy soon!
(Also percocet has a side effect of itchiness, if that's what they gave you for pain)

Itching is most likely from your stretched skin. I would ask your PS if you can use benadryl, it helps with the itching. Anesthesia can also cause itching.

Ask your PS if you can take Benedryl. I had an allergic reaction to the bandages and waited too long to take the Benedryl. had a horrible rash for over almost a week

I am 2wks post op and I have been very itchy. I asked my ps what I should use and he said cortizone. Today is my first day trying it but it seems to be working. I went with 650cc so I believe the itchiness is caused by stretching of the skin.

I talked with my surgeon today about my incision itching and he said it was just part of the healing process My skin is also a little itchy but thats normal due to your skin stretching from the implants. i hope this helps and you feel better

I'm 2 and half weeks post op and I'M ITCHING SO BAD ALL OVER! Thanks for the post! I'll try cortizone or gold bond lotion!

so strange that I was fine and all of a sudden I'm itching but I'm reading it's normal... I've been using lots of lotion before and after...
