Rude "friends"... need to vent!

So, I have had the same BFF for the last 32 years! A lifetime really! When we were growing up mother nature was very kind to her. She developed early and kept developing throughout high school. I think she wears at least an F cup bra. She has always given me a hard time about my lack of boobs, continously pointing out how large hers are and how small mine are (or were). When I decided to get my surgery done I did not tell her because I knew she would be negative about it. Anyway, after my operation was done and I had healed a bit I booked a trip to so see her - still didn't tell her about my breast augmentation. When I arrived it took her a bit to notice but when she finally did she was shocked to say the least. Was not excited and encouraging and even seemed a bit jealous - the reaction I knew I would get - "sigh". Anyway, its been a few months now and I have really fluffed nicely, way more than when I visited her.

I get a call from her a few days ago and she tells me she is pregnant! I am so excited for her!!!! This will be her first so I was telling her some of the things to look forward to and I mentioned that her boobs were going to be HUGE! To this she replies "I know, I'll let you touch them if you want", see this is the crap she always used to say when I had no boobs of my own. However, that is not the case anymore! So I replied "no need honey, I've got nice big ones of my own to enjoy, remember... sporting a G cup baby!" To this she replies - "A G... really, you sure you got that right? Do you even fill out the cups?"

I was soooooooo mad!!!! There were a thousand things I should have said - like - "ya and even better when I take the bra off they don't hit the floor" (nature may have been kind to her but gravity has been a bitch). Instead, just like all the times she is hurtful I said nothing and just changed the subject...

Why do women have to be so mean to one another - especially those who claim to be your friends??? Thanks for listening my JBI ladies.

Take solace in knowing that her big god-given boobies will be feeling the post-breastfed droop soon not to mention the effects of gravity and she is likely just jealous that yours are now sitting in the position hers were when the two of you were 16 years old

She is jealous, thats why she is the way she is the way she is! Good for you for not saying anything (even though it would have felt good), because comments like she made don't even deserved to be diginified with a response. Shame on her, and I am sorry she is not a better friend to you.

she does sound jealous...and i'm sure it's b/c yours are perky and nice and hers...not so much. you know after pregnancy they'll be so different and if she breast feeds they'll be even more of a mess.

Ya'll have been friends for 32 years? Are you sure ya'll are friends????? I would have to see what is in this relationship for me because it seems as if she is getting everything. You are supportive and encouraging and she seems jealous and mean.

For the record her having natually big boobs just made seeing the heart of who she truly is harder to find beyond the breast tissue. I think you know what is best for you. With friends like her who needs enemies. I am sure you have better friends to spend your time with.

Why the heck would you want to touch them? I'm glad you didn't say anything rude back (the hit the floor thing made me crack up though).. she probably would have said something smart back about not having to pay for hers, then it would have all been bad.

I think I would reconsider her being my BFF... she doesn't seem to deserve a friend like you.

I have had the same thought many times. In fact several years ago when she went away and got married and didn't tell me I did end the friendship. But she tracked me down a few years later and I didn't have the heart or the strength not to rekindle the friendship. She does say mean things often... sometimes I wonder if our friendship is more of a habit than anything else. Thanks for your support!

The "i'll let you touch them" is something I always say if I have something someone comments on... Like "your lunch looks yummie" I reply "ya, wanna touch it" looks weird on paper but sounds funny when said outloud! When I went to visit her and she noticed the new girls the first thing I said was "wanna touch them". I'm not crazy - honest

I'm sorry you have had to deal with her smart-@ss remarks, but keep in mind (I am sure you already know) that her sharp words are envy-based. Like the other girls said, gravity is a bitch. PLUS, keep in mind that SHE has been the one with the nice breasts for the past 32 years, and she is probably not a big fan of the fact that you now have nicer ones. Women tend to be on the catty side (well, most), and your changed body has surely made her look at hers more critically.
In the end, her attitude is about HER, not you. So...don't take it to heart. Keep your head up! She's lucky to have any friends, imo.

Oh no! I have learned that confronting her only makes things way worse! She still lives in Alberta so I think I will just continue to distance myself from her as time goes on. My BF is really my true best friend and is totally supportive of whatever I want, same with my children so I am very lucky to have them. The important thing is I am very happy with how I look. I think I have gotten better with age, I have more time and money to spend on myself now that the kids are grown and I feel better about myself now at 37 than I did when I was 20. So in the end that is all that really matters!

You're WAY WAY WAAAYY nicer than I would have been. This is simply not how friends behave towards each other. There may be times when you're envious of something that your friend has, and you don't but you THINK IT DON'T SAY IT.

I hope you're still around when this b*tch has this kid and we can hear about how her boobs look like two ugly rocks in socks, I really do. She knows they will too, that's why she's saying this crap to you.

I used to have a friend like her... who acted jealous and seemed to always strive to outdo me. Eventually i had to cut ties with her because she wound up betraying me.
With that said... yeaa her boobs are huge but I'm sure sagging. so w/e she says shes prob saying out of her own insecurities... don't let her get to you.
