Nerves setting in like crazy!!!

ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT!!!! Wow i cant believe that it has come up so fast! My nerves are setting in like crazy and everytime i think about the surgery, my heart races!!! Please tell me someone else got this nervous before hand?!?!I spent the weekend making sure i have everything i need for after and i will be setting up my chair for afterward tomorrow or wednesday just so its ready...thank god my surgery is at 7am because i know i will not be sleeping the night before.....why am i so nervous?!?! this is a surgery that I chose to do and that i want but i can not calm my nerves!!!I guess i am really nervous for pain afterwards and complications with the surgery and after...i also am getting mixed signals now from my boyfriend on if he is really happy for me that i am doing this..i know it shouldnt matter but he is my number 1 support system and he will be the one taking care of me...i am probably over reacting my everything is making me overly crital and analytical......Why cant i shake these nerves???? Someone please tell me everything will be fine and i will come out with fantastic looking boobies!!!

Good Morning! CALM DOWN! You are going to do just fine! I understand all the emotions you are going through, but be easy on yourself. I really think being calm and relaxed helps your surgery along that much better. I'm sure your boyfriend is just worried as was mine, but don't let that stress you out also, if it's really bad I would suggest just talking to him now rather than the day before your surgery. MY BF did the samething, but once we talked about his emotions and concerns it helped ease the tension. You are going to be beautiful and I know you will be so happy once this is done. It sounds like you've gotten everything together so that's good. Now just try to relax...we're all here if you need someone!!! HUGS!!!

You'll be fine! Nerves are normal. Just try to take at least a day to relax. It sounds like you're so caught up in planning and prepping... that you forgot to put "relax" on your list. Hehe. Try to do something that you enjoy. Maybe see a comedy or something?? 3 days... yay!! I'm excited for ya!

BTW, it's wonderful that you're so prepared and realistic about the surgery.

Yes... it's completely 100% normal. I think we get that way b/c we CHOOSE to do this. If it were a necessary procedure we probably wouldn't question ourselves half as much and get worked up about it.

You'll be fine. Just try to have some fun in the next few days and enjoy full arm range for now... hehe. Maybe do some stretching!!! That should help you unwind and also help loosen you up.

Good luck!!

Ok so i just talked to my BF again and i was like are you really ok with me having this surgery because i really need your support through this...and what he said made me wanna cry...he was like i am happy for you that you are getting this done but i am afraid you are going to leave me after it is all done! That makes me so sad because i love him to death!!!! We have been best friends for 7 years and dating for a little over 4! I cant imagine not spending the rest of my life with him and i really want him to be ok with this and not feel the way he does.....any of your significant others feel this way and if so what did you do to ease their minds????? Please help as i am sad and nervous now...to many emotions to deal with!

I totally know what you feel and how your BF feels. I've been married for 8 yrs and my breast augmentation is not until Nov 10th, but my husband brought up to me one night that he's afraid that I'll leave him after its all said and done. But the funny thing is we used to joke about me getting boobs one day and about two months ago my hubby suggested that if I want to get it done we could figure out a way to pay for them. So really it was his idea even though i've been dying to have boobies for several years.

So I think what your boyfriend is feeling is normal. You just need to reassure him that you love him no matter what you look like and that you two need to support each other through this. Don't worry and eventually he'll realize that you're in his life because of him and nothing such as surgery is going to change that. HTH

Susanturtle, I think this is an entirely normal reaction.
My breast augmentation is 8 days away, i'm trying to deal with my own nerves and my bf is also becoming increasingly nervous, he has 'jokingly' said I better not run off with some hunk when I get my new boobies.
I think it is a big change for them as well.
When I first came on this site, there was a thread about the extra unwanted attention that you receive, obviously all posted by the women on here.
I made my bf read this and it seemed to set his mind at ease to really see it from a womans point of view and to know your not just feeding them some crap to keep them quiet.
He now knows that im not doing this for extra attention etc but only to make me feel a bit better about my deflated boobs.
I know he's still going to feel a little insecure, but through time hopefully this feeling shall go away, because he knows i also love him to bits.
Hope this helps x

Hey Girl - We will be just fine!!! I worked out for the last time today at lunch for a few weeks and that was a wild feeling.....
Just try and relax and think about how great we are going to look -
I was feeling uneasy on Saturday morning (the kids were at a sleepover) so I put on a sports bra and my "rice boobies" and walked around the house while I was cleaning and getting things in order - It felt great and I looked great (My hubby thought it was funny !!)
