Getting rid of ash tones in blonde

Please help me get rid of the ash tones in my hair. After about a week of having my hair done in the salon it starts throwing off ash tones which I hate. I don't have the time or money to go the hairdresser once a week for a toner. They won't tell me what they use but did say they mix a few colours together. I don't use purple shampoo or conditioner because it makes my hair go even more ash like a gray blonde. Can anyone help me? I've used a pearl toner which helped a bit but still have the gray ash especially through the ends. Am trying to get that really nice clean light blonde without silver or ash tones, like Delta Goodrems hair in that ad for the phone. Most of the shampoos and toners have silver or purple in them to get rid of yellowness which I don't want cause they give me more ash my hairs porous so it grabs onto colour. Any advice is appreciated

Hi honey!! Purple shampoos work for me. I use the Joico one a few times a week. Aveda carries one, and I think Paul Mitchell just came out with one as well.

Maybe ask for Pearl toner because they might be mixing pearl and ash together at the hairdressers.
Try clarifying shampoo to remove excess ash and use pearl toner like Redken pure pearl or Goldwell mousse in 10P

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply store near you they sell tons of toners. You mix them with a 20 volume creme I'm pretty sure and leave it on for like 10 to 15 minutes and they're permanent. They don't really damage your hair either. If your hair is already pretty light they should work great. You can ask one of the people that work there about what color to buy, they mostly hire hairdressers to work in that store.

if they used an ash tone as ur base then nothing you can do coz it's already blonde..did you ask her for ash blonde? the only time i use em is if somebody has brassy hair..
either go back to the hairdresser and let her know not to be a pain in the butt,,but you hate the ash crap, tell her it looks flat and it's not flattering on your skin tone.. she should atleast try to fix it once, you went to a proffesional and got your hair done and spend $$.
she can either do a cocktail with bleach and shampoo and try to wash the ash out,,( please dont try at home)
or refoil your hair with bleach 10 vol just to break up the ash....
goodluck!!!!

Oh geez, your too late - I change my mind sooo quickly! I am a brunette again....
Unbelievable arenŽt I - just a coupla months being a blonde (this was from dark to blonde) and now this.....I swear my Granny was right when she used to say "Bebby you change your mind more often, than your underwear" WTF - this is daily!
Sorry Ellie, youŽll just have to find another gold blonde candidate!
