Rude indirect comment- i felt humiliated.

hi ladies, i know there was a thread about dealing with rude comments in general but most of them were direct comments. i just wanted to share and ask- what about indirect comments? do you ladies ignore them or confront the person? i am just curious because of something that recently happened to me. i was out at dinner with my hubby and after we decided to go to the bar for a few drinks. it was a nice upscale place and the tables were fairly close together, so everyone could overhear the person next to them. anyway, there is a group of guys 2 tables away from us and i can see one of the guys just staring at me out of the corner of my eye and then he says loudly, " Hey guys, I suddenly got a craving for melons!" i pretended i didn't hear it and just went on talking to my husband and then he said it again, to one of his friends- who obviously knew he was being a drunk idiot because i heard him try to shush him. this time i looked at my husband with WTF eyes and i turned beet red. my husband then asked me if i wanted him to say something and i was like NO WAY! i was so embarrassed. we just left right after that and wasted the drinks that we paid for. i guess i expected this kind of reaction- getting larger than average implants but i was just wondering how everyone handles this kind of situation. maybe i am just too sensitive. anyway, love to hear similar stories. especially ones that put rude a$$holes in their place. lol!

Sorry to hear that..when you are hot..esp w big tetas you are going to get so many comments...just try to laugh it off..my dh and i joke about it...take it as a compliment too, all those guys mean by being rude is that they wish they could be with u!

Seriously, when people are nasty and rude like that, they tend to do it to impress their friends but get really embarrassed when you stand up to them. I know most people here will tell you to take the high road, but I say f it, tell him like it is and give his friends something to laugh about for the rest of the night, how he got TOLD by the gorgeous woman with amazing tits. I have no qualms about looking people directly in the eye and saying very loudly "I'm sorry but were you saying something TO ME or ABOUT ME that you want to repeat now that you have my full attention?" (as well as the attention of everyone else around them) And if they DO repeat the nasty comment, then you can always throw back something like "It's ok, people say mean things when they are leading lonely and pathetic lives. I understand and hope that things start looking up for you soon."

What a terrible feeling!! His comment had the forethought of a 3rd grader and his delivery is reminiscent of a gaggle of little boys picking on the pretty girls who won't talk to them. Idiots are one thing but drunk idiots are extremely obnoxious, I'm so sorry. Hopefully you shamed him or at least his friends into taking a good look at their peanut-sized balls again before talking about anyone else's anatomy again!

There are a few men out there that are pigs. There's a reason HE wasnt out on a date (with a woman) and with a mouth like his I would have told him while you and your husband are going home with your 'melons' he will be going home to perform his usual 'self service' that will only take a few seconds to complete. His friends would have thrown it in his face for life and he would learn to shut his disrespectful trap! You look great especially considering you have a one year old !!!

You should have turned around and said " I bet you did, heres the number to my PS (hand him a napkin) Go buy your GF some of her own, that's if you even have one, so you can stop starring at mine."

Or maybe say out loud "Wow it's amazing how idiotic people look when they drink and they obviously can't handle the liquor."

My first thought on what to say to guys like that is "I guess it really is true that males turn into drooling morons at the sight of a great pair of breasts... Poor things. It's a wonder they manage to survive beyond adolescence... Good thing there's the Internet, or you'd never get to see a pair of them naked huh?"

I spent the bulk of my life being heavy, so I'm used to moronic comments from people. I actually find myself looking forward to what little gems I may hear now that I'm still a bit on the fluffy side with 1000's lol

Rude, indirect comments like that make me feel self conscious also. It's strange bc I got bigger boobies because I felt like it made me look more proportional (hip to waist ratio) and now the comments leave me feeling that I must have gone to drastic. I hear comments like this often, especially from groups of women...I'll walk by & they'll go "OMG those are way too big" or "Jeeze those are so fake". I dealt with a situation where I was in a pool at a resort & a group of older, overweight, quite unattractive women decided to make my breasts the topic of conversation for a good 10 minutes. And it wasn't nice things they were saying...they even went as far as to criticize my WHOLE body...one said "Yea her butt is ok but it's not great". It sucked. I feel for you having to deal with these comments-some ppl are idiots & have no filter...

I know that embarrassment you felt. I've been in situations like that. I always just ignore them and give them no reaction. Maybe I should say something, but I don't have the guts to confront a stranger on something they didn't say directly to me. I'm sorry it caused you and your hubby to leave.

i would love to be brave enough to do that! i hate that i feel so spineless when it comes to confronting people. i definitely need to work on that. thanks for inspiring me hun!
