| Large Breast Implants This forum will be for discussing implants that are 700cc or larger. Although 700cc may not seem large to some, they are, generally, considered a larger size. |

![]() | Surgery in 10 days... Silicone vs. Saline.... help?!
Hey Lovelies, Newbie here wanting to go big (which in my case is a 36 DD or DDD) initially I wanted 800cc's in silicone but have noticed many of you girls have chosen to go saline...I would love some input as to how you made your choice Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk |

Saline gives them a more fake look, especially the larger that you go. Some choose silicone for their implants to feel more "real". I think if you're looking for a more natural BA then go for silicone, but if not saline is great...and can be overfilled past 800

Have you consulted with any PS's - what have they told you in regards to size? Some will tell you if you want larger than saline overfilled is the way to get there. Is this your 1st BA? What are you starting with? It took me multiple surgeries to get 800 silicone implants because I had hardly any breast tissue and a real small rib cage, I needed to get my skin stretched out to accomodate the larger implant.

I went with 500cc silicone unders mod+ but couldn't really go any bigger due to the size of my BWD. I went from an A to a DD...

I didn't go as large as you are planning...but I went with saline to achieve the 'fake' look with more upper pole fullness. I had a few consultations with different PS's before making my decision and they all suggested saline for the look I wanted...not too mention I am a worry wart and would be concerned all the time with silicone (no matter how safe the FDA say they are). I know a lot of woman go with silicone simply because of the feel, for me personally the look I achieved was more important than the feel, after all the only people that should be touching them is myself and my husband...maybe a girl friend or two.

You should touch some boobs before you make the decision. My surgeon called two girls from his office one had salines and one had silicone implants, they looked about same size, they did not tell me which one had what and I had the opportunity to squeeze :-) They both had them done about year ago. There is a real big difference in between the two kinds, both cleavages looked amazing but the silicones felt like the real thing and although they are much more at that point it did not matter to me. Also consider 800 ccs will be in front of you at all times, hugging people and I found out something you never think about) how tightly some people hug - sometimes I seriously wonder if they can feel my not yet fluffed boobs :-))) No one said anything so far. Good luck to you!!!!

Swanky, Yes, I've had my consult....to be honest at the time I was pretty intimidated by the whole thing and didn't ask as many questions as I probably should have... that being said, this will be my first BA and surgery is scheduled for the 16th. I have my pre-op on the 13th so I will be able to ask more questions then. My PS told me it was up to me but he suggested silicone b/c of texture and less chance of seeing rippling since I have little breast tissue to start with. I'm not a small girl overall. I am 5'11 165 pounds. Pre- surgery I am a full 36A small B....and I don't believe I have a small rib cage (PS didn't discuss my bwd and I didn't know to ask) he did say he would have to cut the muscle some to free up some constriction under the breast...I'm hoping going under the muscle with 800's will get me to the DD DDD range Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk |

So what did you decide? I'm going from 500cc silicone to (at least) 700cc silicone, or 625cc saline. I won't know until day of surgery...i'll have the options available, and a chat with ps before drugs kick in... ;0

Hi! I'm having the same questions that you are. My sx date is 3/1/12. I'm 39yrs old, do a lot of weight training (so much that my PS suggested I stop doing chest workouts-ugh!) and am scheduled for a revision to my currently 300cc Mentor smooth round implants done back in '05. I'm almost 5'9", lean & was a small 34B originally (no children, no weightloss-not much to work with). My current implants are "riding high" & my PS will be dropping the pocket to fix that as well as going larger to create more cleavage & releasing some muscle that's obviously attached to my scar tissue/pocket (my breast flatten out & pull up when I push down or pull up with my arms--yuck!). So my decision is either go up to a 550cc silicone because that's all that will fit this time or go with the size I'd like (around 650cc-700cc saline). I'm not very big now-like a full C & at 5'9" even though I'm lean I can carry a lot. I'm nervous about making the wrong decision. I don't mind the fake look but I'm not a porn star either & would like to keep it sexy but classy as I turn the corner to 40. Any suggestions?? |
