| Large Breast Implants This forum will be for discussing implants that are 700cc or larger. Although 700cc may not seem large to some, they are, generally, considered a larger size. |

![]() | Had my boob job today
So I had my boob job today - replacing implants to go larger and removing capsule (capsular contraction). Unfortunately the scar tissue was so dense that as much as he could break it up, it limited how large I could go. Going into surgery, my doctor thought I could go from 1500cc's to as large as 1800cc's. But in surgery, the remains of the capsule limited how big I could go. He filled me to 1350cc's, then let it sit to 'stretch' me a bit. The other side went easily to 1600cc's. But leftie wouldn't budge so rightie had to come back down. ![]() Anyway, of all my boob jobs, this anesthesiologist was the best and I feel really good - no nausea. So I guess I'm 1350cc's. Will post pix in a week or two when they look better but I look exactly like in my avatar in-terms of breast shape - just (a bit) bigger. Also did some lipo for small pockets of fat so I'm a bit bruised up. ta ta, ~c |

Glad to hear you're doing well. Sucks it didn't go entirely as planned. I've got a stubborn problematic lefty too. I can't remember, did they put the expandables in this time or is this the final result?

No expanders this time. These are Mentor Mod-High profile rated at 800cc's. The doctor told me he has filled these to 2000cc's, in larger women. They give me alot more coverage than my previous high-profile Inamed expanders. Anybody looking to go 'bigger' and not interested in the whole importing/FDA thing, should go with these - they're great and again - can go all the way to 2000cc's. My (new) doctor in South Florida is terrific. Pain kicked in a bit during the night so had to take some meds for that. I don't like having to take those. thanks all. ~c |

I just want to point out that if anyone gets the 800cc's, they should know that Mentor recommends moderate plus implants have a MAXIMUM fill amount of 960cc. The more you fill them past that level (960cc), the firmer they will be, and the bigger the risk of rupture is. Filling them several hundred cc's above the recommended amount is going to result in a HARD implant. And if you get that much overfill, you might as well forget having Mentor cover the warranty. It's HIGHLYunlikely that they will do that.

Thank-you so much for your thoughtful and caring post. As the site owner, it is benevolent to be open-minded and caring about members, especially those that contribute on something a little more broad than the daily housewife 350cc implants posts. Something to think about, given your position. There should be just a bit more to this site than the daily REQUIRED SIGNATURE RULES posts I have to stare at everytime I turn on the computer. ~c Quote:

![]() | Pain
Cara I have been following your story with great interest. I am so impressed. I just came on today to ask you specifically about pain because I am suffering. I went from 315 cc (cohesive gels) to 450 cc 2 weeks ago (very disappointed no visible change really) to a redo of 775 cc and I'm quite happy although I would go bigger. However I wanted the McGhan 410FX look, high profile, anatomical cohesive gels and that was the largest available size here in Costa Rica. Anyways, with my first two surgeries it was a walk in the park. I never understood why my PS kept telling me to use icepacks and pain meds. Now I do and have had to. I had my surgery two days ago and OUCH. So I was just wanting to ask you how you coped. I see you are taking pain meds. What kind? My PS only prescribed 600 mg of Motrin. I see him this morning and thought I might ask him for something stronger. |

Freakin hell Shannon, they only gave you Motrin? Not only is that really lousy of them to be so miserly with proper meds but that's not even a good idea because Ibuprofen thins the blood. DO ask for something else. I'm not sure what sorts of meds are in Costa Rica but ask for something with a codeine derivative and acetaminophen (or paracetamol as it's known here and elsewhere europe)

I cannot believe that and I just did some research and of course you are absolutely correct. I'm going to freak on him this morning when I see him. It's so bizarre too because here in Costa Rica you can be like a kid in a candy store with almost all drugs being over the counter. I need something strong man. Thanks so much!

you are most welcome. I bricked it when I read that. "MOTRIN?! WTF?" (but not in letter form) was the precise thought process. They sell codeine over the counter here too so if you have access to some there, get it. I'm sorry you got stiffed for good pain meds, hopefully they give you something proper. To be entirely safe, stay away from NSAIDs as I believe most if not all have some blood thinning properties. Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is fine though. And get yourself some codeine or any variation of Opioid painkiller. (sorry for the little thread detour here) |

Nikki~ Have you ever actually felt an 800cc implant o/f to 1200cc's, or 1500cc's? Because I HAVE (not including mine now, which are swollen from surgery two days ago). And they are not as 'firm' or 'hard' as you might think. If you have actually felt o/f implants I mention above, then fine. But if-not, you might get some actual real-world evidence because again - I HAVE - and if you're speaking without having actually felt them, well - that's pretty ignorant. |

I'm taking a low-dose of Percocet, 1/2 a pill at a time. So far I've taken 4 doses (2 pills total) and I'm hoping I can be done with them today. So sorry to hear about your pain. Good luck! ~c |
