| Large Breast Implants This forum will be for discussing implants that are 700cc or larger. Although 700cc may not seem large to some, they are, generally, considered a larger size. |

![]() | Large Implant Diameter/Projection
When I look at implants I tend to pay more attention to the diameter and projection specs than I do cc amount just because I think it gives a better idea of the actual size. My question is for those who have gone up several hundred cc's for a redo, how much in diameter and/or projection (in centimeters) did you go up to notice a big difference? For example I am 5'-4" 124 lbs. started with a large 34B and with 435 cc silicone mod+ jumped to a 34DD. The inamed 435 implants I have are 13.8 cm in diameter and 4.3 cm in projection. So that was enough to push me two cup sizes. Now I am thinking about a redo (seeing my PS in 2 weeks) and maybe want 750 HP with 15 cm diameter and 6 cm projection. It doesn't seem like a lot, only an increase in 1.2 cm and 1.7 cm. Those with redo experience did a 1-2 cm increase make much of a difference? I want to be fuller and a 34E or F. I know the mentor saline mod+ 900's are 15.1/6.8 which isn't much different than the inamed silicone 750 HP...

![]() | ![]() It works both ways. The diameter gives you the side boob and reduces the space between your breasts. The projection of the implant increases the depth of your cleavage and increases ... well ... the forward projection. The amount of cc's just depicts the volume of the implant. The shape of the implant determines where what goes ie. to the side or forward. Without cc's nothing goes anywhere. If you have a small natural diameter, choosing an implant with a much wider diameter will give you a wide look with lots of sideboob and small space between your breasts and may even impair your arm movement straight forward. I quickly got used to this because after a few bumps your arm sort of knows where to go. If the implant is too wide then you may find that the cup width and underwire of you bra squeezes you breast on both sides if the fitting is not right. I found this to be a problem to get bras to fit, especially underwire bras, because bra companies work with standard sizes and measurements and not according to your choice of implant. Scratchy underwires are not comfortable by the end of a long day at work. For example the difference in a 36C bra and 36E bra is mostly in the projection of the cup and not so much the width of the cup It is easier to get "projection" into a bra because the fabric can stretch but it is much more difficult to get an underwire to stretch. Hope this helps a bit. ![]()

I am still amazed that just 1-2 cm makes such a difference. I am seeing my PS in 2 weeks to discuss a redo and try to determine if I should get a benelli lift as well. The "look" I'm after is Sophia Rossi (google to see her pics) and that is why I want them "higher up" on my chest which I think a lift will give me. I'll be interested in hearing what he has to say.

I just got a redo last week from 250 to 700. I am naturally a 32 b/c, and was about a 32d with 250 mods. I also nursed 2 kids and gained/lost a lot of weight, so my breasts (and size) changed many times over the years. I saw 6 PSs for consults. 2 said I would need a lift to ensure I achieved the fake look I wanted. The other 4 said a large enough hp implant would be enough to give me the added lift. I didn't get the lift and at least for now, my boobs are so far up on my chest, if I get tired I can rest my chin on two soft pillows, lol! If we're not already friends, send me a request and you can take a look at my before and afters.
