Hi. I just wanted to say hello to all. I have already posted a thread, but thought I would say hello. I had a BA in 1991 and am about to (unfortunately) probably get these redone due to a quite possible rupture.

Also....... does anyone on here know how to send a member a message? I have received messages from members and I end up posting the reply on my own page. Does anyone know where the button or function is to post on another members page (not thread) their personal page that receives messages. I have looked all over here for this in FAQ and without appearing like an idiot, LOL, I just can't find the answer to my question..........

Welcome! When you get a message from another member, just click on their name and it will direct you to their personal welcome page with the first area allowing you to post a message to that member. Hope this helps!

If you are looking at their post there is a little paper with lines like a letter with a blue arrow on it. That sends an instant reply. Just learned that today. Don't feel bad I don't know what most of the abbreviations stand for what is a wong,reddit,spurl, and the like, really feel like a dummy but enjoy the site just the same.Good luck

Welcome!! I am sorry that you might have a possible rupture -- I hope that there isn't any and/or too much damage. On the upside, you've been there before so you know what to expect. Plus, you can get some of the newer implants that might be better than those offered in 1991. Good luck!

Yes, it is ruptured, unfortunately. I talk about it in the complications forum. So, I'm pretty much picking everyone's brain about what type they have, etc... That way, when I go to the PS, I have a general idea of what I'm getting into. Implants certainly have come a LONG way since 1991!

So far I like high profile silicone, preferably overs, but that's still for debate and definitely areola or axillary. (I already have the areola scar, not really wanting one inframmary).

Hey Starryeyed! Welcome to JBI, even if it is a couple weeks late! Once you obtain different membership status, you will be able to post PM messages to those you which to address privately. But lots of us always check the other forum threads, like BA General, Post-Op or Complications.. so you can always post any questions you have there. Plus its great to get a wealth of different opinions from various girls that way. You can always read the Rules & Regulations as well as the FAQ's if you think of "site procedure" questions for answers. I think the moderates pretty much have all our "??'s" there. If not, you can always ask a question in FAQ's, they are really great about answering us!!
I'm sorry about your rupture, but that is quite a good life of your implant, if you got them in 1991!! Good luck with your re-do!! Look forward to hearing about your re-do!
