![]() | I want to say how wonderful of a Plastic Surgeon my Doctor is and so happy I chose him to fix my symmastia, rippeling, bottoming out, capsular contracture, a lift, removal and replacement of my silicone implants(I went bigger-700cc's now-650cc's then) and scar revision. All done on the 24th of August. His name is Dr. Babik Dadvand. I chose him because he made me feel comfortable, safe, trustful, informative about my complications, prepared me for what he could realistically do to fix the complications, and reasonable with his price of my re-do. It's only been five days but they look so good. It has been a very painful experience for me. He went under the muscle and just like he explained I would likely be very sore and in pain. But thank God I'm in good hands!! My last PS was a disaster............ So my question to you ladies is how did you find your PS and what made you decide to go with him or her on doing your surgery? All the best, Christine |

![]() | So glad to hear about your success with your new PS! I read about the complications from the old ones in some of your other posts - what a nightmare! I found my PS because my Mom had a tummy tuck a few months ago by him. He's the most qualified in the city (30yrs experience & 15yrs of teaching plastic surgery in Universities)- and from what I hear people come from all over Canada to see him. He has a great success rate & low complication rate. No infections have been reported to date. I also like the fact that he has his own OR in his offices & I don't have to do the hospital thing. Hoping things will go well during my breast augmentation Sept 27th!!! Bri |

I found my PS from this website and emailed back and forth with someone on staff & also talked to a few people on the phone. I had my consult on Monday and "fell in love" with everyone, it was so comfortable and right...

I looked for people in my area at a reasonable price, and the group I went to recommended him. I checked him out online and with the GMC to make sure he was fully qualified, then went to see him. He wasn't very friendly or chatty, but he gave off an aura of being completely in control and very skilled and knowledgable. Dunno, I guess he just gave me confidence in his abilities. HE was fantastic, shame I can't say the same about the surgical group themselves |

I found my PS after going on a consult with another PS who absolutely freaked me out. My first consult (with the other PS, not mine) left me with an unsettled feeling and I knew I shouldn't go back there. I just had a bad feeling about him. I went back to the drawing board and started researching other PS in my area and wasn't finding anything, so I started looking in Scottsdale, a PS mecca here in the valley. I looked at tons of websites, but one in particular kept pulling me in. It was Dr. Cohen's website. There was a feeling of safety and comfort, just by looking at the website. I kept putting off calling him because he was just too young and HOT to see my saggy old boobs. LOL! I finally gave in and called his office. When Courtney answered the phone, she was so friendly and I felt like I knew her already. She was very helpful in scheduling my consult around my schedule. When I went in for my first visit, the minute I walked in the door, I knew this was the place. When I met Dr. Cohen, I just felt really comfortable in his presence. Even though he was my age and really good looking, it didn't bother me in the least to show him my problem. (I was totally embarassed with the first PS I saw.) I actually had a pretty lengthy conversation with him, while standing in front of him without a top on. I had done a lot of research before seeing him and I knew what I wanted to hear from him and every word out of his mouth confirmed that he knew his stuff and wanted only the best for me. He has been amazing through the entire breast augmentation and with my complications. I absolutely love him and am so glad I found him. I also liked that he owned his own practice and had a surgical suite in his office, so there was no hospital stay. He also scheduled my surgery on a Friday, when he normally only does consults, so that DH and I wouldn't have to explain to anyone where we were that day. DH is a pastor and so my surgery was hush-hush. We told no one. DH is off on Fridays and so that was the best day to do it. Dr. Cohen was very understanding about our need for discretion and was so helpful. He also came into his office on Saturday morning for my first post-op. I just can't say enough about how much I love my PS and his staff. They are the best and make you feel like you are their only patient. Last edited by Admin; 02-20-2008 at 01:48 PM. |
