Hi I am new here and looking for someone who is excellent in the Orlando area? Any ideas? I have interviewed a few but am just not sure ? Thanks!

My PS in in Altamonte Springs. He is really good,I am very happy with the results. His name is Dr. Thomas Fiala.

Check out all of the surgeons at www.justbreastimplants.com/plastic_surgeons/florida/. All of them are ABPS certified and have clean disciplinary histories with the Florida State Medical Board. Who have you consulted with so far? Do you have any other consults scheduled? |

I have seen Dr. Armando Soto in Celebration and Dr. Brian Joseph in Winter Park so far. I am scheduled to see Dr. Kenrick Spence next. I liked Dr. Soto and he is a partner with a very reputable PS but I don't know anyone else who had seen him? I feel comfortable with him and hate shopping around so I don't know what I should do.

Hi! I'm in Orlando and am in the consultation phase - I went to Dr. Soto as well, Dr. Boyd in Winter Park, and Dr. Clifford Clark in Winter Park. I haven't made up my mind if I should consult with any other doctors yet. Have you made your decision on which surgeon? I would love to know as I'm still trying to decide which one!! Thank you soo much!!! =) |

I have to recommend Dr. Hartog highly! He took great care of me his staff is AWESOME his facility is AWESOME and he ROCKS! PM me if you want more info. I had some self inflicted complications (infection from hitting the gym before everything was healed) and he fixed me up free of charge beautifully!

I also went to Dr.Fiala in Altamonte Springs. His office and staff are great... I couldn't be happier with my results! His prices are quite reasonable as well. I almost went to Dr. Spence but he wanted like $100 for a consultation. I don't believe you should pay money to interview a doctor you are about to pay a lot of money to. www.DrFiala.com |

I haven't scheduled my surgery yet but have been to about 10 consults in the Orlando area and narrowed it down to Dr. Fiala and Dr. Joseph. I have read lots of great comments about Dr. Fiala and was already leaning towards him and now am sure that is where I will have my surgery.

Also, he gives a $1000 gift certificate (to be used at the facility.. which is cosmetic surgery and a medispa) to his patients who recommend him to others (if the person goes through with the procedure, of course).. Seems a few of us have been talking about PSs in the Orlando area, so I thought I would share a little about my experience in case you're still considering a PS. I saw 3 PSs before making a final decision on the PS to do my breast augmentation. I chose Dr. Kenrick Spence in Orlando. It was basically a gut decision. Not only was his price comparable, if not slightly lower than others in the area, but his reputation is incredible. He has been voted top plastic surgeon in the area for the past 6 years. Dr. Spence has a great balance of professionalism, knowledge, experience, respect, personality and bed-side manner. I'm only 4 days out of surgery, but I can say from everything I have experienced so far, I would highly recommend him. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask! (An aside about the consult fee: I believe many area PSs charge around $75 for the consult, which they typically put toward any procedure cost. The PSs are doctors and their time is valuable... just like the the time of our OB/GYN, dentist, primary care doc, and others is also valuable. These other doctors charge for a visit, the difference is that the fee is typically paid by the insurance co so we don't really think about it. Since insurance doesn't typically cover elective cosmetic surgery and the visits associated with it, we are more sensitive to the fee - we're paying for it out of pocket! In all fairness, though, a PS really does deserve to paid for his/her time. They are professionals, after all. Try not to let the consult fee stand between you and a well qualified, highly regarded PS). Choosing a PS is such a personal decision and we all choose who we are ultimately the most comfortable with. The best to all of you in your decision making process! |

My recovery was very good.. he had me on a lottttt of vitamins beforehand (that he supplied) and I really think that helped. I feel like my recovery couldn't have gone better. I was of course in pain the first three days.. but I'd say at day five I was ready to drive and do some light/med level work. I was back at work on day 7 with no problem. He saw me one a week for 3 weeks post op I believe.. and then a few times after. I think I've been back around 7 times since my surgery about 3.5 months ago. I really think he is a great surgeon.. I wasn't nervous AT ALL once I got there.. the anesthesiologist was very comforting and totally took all of my concerns as serious as I felt like they were. I am REALLY scared of IVs and all.. I'd actually never had one before that surgery.. but he calmed me down and taped my hand up so much that I couldn't see or feel the IV, haha. The whole staff is just fantastic. I don't know if my messages have been disabled because I'm not an elite member or I just can't find them.. sorry I keep replying through this thread! | |

My husband thinks Dr Fiala is a little too far to travel, but I will keep him in mind if the other consults I go to are not to my satisfaction. I really like his results and he really seems like a wonderful PS. I'll let you know  Thanks again!!
