It's off of Dr. Lista's website (one of them)... http://www.theplasticsurgeryclinic.c...jugenberg.html "...Dr. Jugenburg performs a full-range of cosmetic procedures, with particular emphasis on body contouring surgery following weight loss, and revision surgeries for patients with unsatisfactory breast augmentation. Dr. Jugenburg also has extensive experience in breast reconstruction for patients with either mastectomies or lumpectomies. Dr. Jugenburg is on active staff at the Toronto General Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Humber River Regional Hospital. Dr. Jugenburg performs all of his Microsurgical Reconstructions at either the Toronto General or Mount Sinai Hospitals. Here, at The Plastic Surgery Clinic, he primarily focuses on physique contouring for patients who have recently lost a great deal of weight, reconstructive surgeries, and corrective surgeries...." I'd be upset too though, if I wasn't made aware of it. He may not have though, if you had your follow up appointments with Dr. Lista, as well as which Dr you spoke with immediately preceeding your surgery. |

**However, from some reading it appears that you may have had to be an outpatient at the Hospital rather then at the clinic?

RE: Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar just so everyone knows this doctor is not a plastic surgeon, just an MD. the trouble is in canada anyone with a medical license can perform cosmetic surgery! but the qualifications Dr Y has does not include surgery...family doctors do not do surgery. Personally I would only ever go to a plastic surgeon for a plastic surgery procedure, at least I know they have passed exams in surgery by the royal college. I went to Dr Wayne Carman, he is an amazing surgeon and I highly recommend. I also recommend ********.California, they have a busy message boards full of canadians who've had plastic surgery. |

Plastic surgeon faces disciplinary hearing on liposuction death Posted: April 30, 2009, 1:00 PM by Shane Dingman Canwest News Service A popular Toronto cosmetic surgeon facing allegations of professional misconduct and incompetence will be summoned before a hearing at a disciplinary committee, the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons said Thursday. The college’s disciplinary committee will investigate whether Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar “failed to maintain the standard of practice of the profession” at her cosmetic surgery clinic between 2005 and 2007 with 28 patients. The province’s medical watchdog began investigating Yazdanfar in 2002. The decision to hold a hearing had been tied up in court proceedings when the surgeon took the college to trial, arguing that its investigators cannot force her to give them an interview or observe her procedures. The hearing centres on one of Dr. Yazdanfar’s patients who died following a procedure in 2007. Krista Stryland was a successful Toronto real estate agent who went to Dr. Yazdanfar’s private clinic, the Toronto Cosmetic Clinic, for liposuction in September 2007 following the birth of her son. According to court documents, the 32-year-old was left alone in the clinic’s recovery room for more than half an hour without vital signs after she had 23 incisions made on her body to drain fat. Her family argued that Mr. Yazdanfar should have told Ms. Stryland, who was a size 6, that she didn’t need liposuction. The committee will also look into whether Mr. Yazdanfar engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct in relation to her advertising, the notice said. A date for the hearing, which is expected to be scheduled in the coming months, has not been finalized. | |

I know this post is older, but just an fyi for anyone else coming upon it... I went for a breast augmentation consult with Dr. Lista. He was 45 minutes late (not that we were charged - but I would have rather paid and had him on time)...he didn't shake our hands, he didn't look me in the eye to greet me and then followed the meeting with very short answers and explanations and even danced around some questions. He kept repeating "nothing is going to be perfect, you can't set your standards to high to be let down"...he rushed after 20 minutes when we were promised an hour and the real kicker...he showed my husband and I photos on his computer of his clients with their actual NAME attached to them! Not, jane doe...the actual clients name and before and after photos. Talk about patient confidentiality! I am certain this has changed by now - seeing as when his assistant called me a week later to follow up I explained to her that I wasn't going to use him ...she seemed satisfied with that and was about to hang up when I said "don't you want to know WHY?" |

I also had my surgery with Dr. Yaz. She is not a Plastic Surgeon she is only a Cosmetic Surgeon. Make sure to research you PS, because I didn't and now I regret it. I got 350cc silicone over the muscle and I have now developed rippling. I don't know why she went over the muscle with me, because I am skinny and tall and it doesn't make sense, since I have minimal breast tissue. She is nice and all but sorry, would definitely not recommend her. She is not a Plastic Surgeon.

i had a great experience with Dr. Lista. on my initial consult he did seem somewhat rushed, but he runs a busy plastic surgery clinic. once you decide to go with him, all additional consults/preop visits feel much more focused. I think this is because he probably gets A LOT of look-see, window shoppers. When he's sure you're serious he truly is devoted to making you happy and producing excellent results. He does not offer sizers, true, but is an expert in what he does. just by looking at you and taking a few measurements he knows what size (or size range) will be perfect for your body. he is well known for producing natural looking results. AND--- for those interested in trans-ax incisions- he does moderate sized SILICONE via trans ax.
