Anyone used Dr. Nuveen or Dr. Porterfield in Oklahoma City

Hiya, I'm going for two more consults in a couple weeks, and was wondering if anyone had used Dr. Nuveen or Dr. Porterfield in OKC and your thoughts on them? Thanx so much!

I have used Nuveen and have had nothing but problems. He is not a board certified plastic surgeon. My current Dr. is Porterfield. He is very nice and has tons of experience. I am having a redo with him this Spring to fix Everything Nuveen has done.

don't go to dr. nuveen! i've just heard of so many bad things about him. yea he does have good pictures on his website but he's not board certified. i had a consult today with dr. tim love and really like him so far. i have one more on my list to go to which is dr. justin jones. i've heard so many girls talk about. so check out those two. =D

I went to Dr. Love a couple weeks ago, and was not impressed. He didn't want to listen to anything that I wanted and he wouldn't make me any bigger than I am. We asked a lot of questions and he BS'd around and never gave us real answers...
Hopefully my consults next week will be better. Dr. Porterfield's pics on his website look great and he's board certified too!

ok so earlier today i heard bad news about love. he messed up a girl pretty bad and is making her pay another 800 to fix it. she was bleeding internallly. but then from other girls he's good so who knows. but i haven't heard anything bad about porterfield but check out drjustinjones.com too. he's board certified.

I would not go to nuveen. No, Is not not board cert for plastic surgery.....which is what you want. He is cert through the cosmetic surgery board. Yes, he does have a well put together website but that should never be a basis on choosing a surgeon.

I also am going in for my second consult with Porterfield on Feb. 10th. He is very friendly and isn't one of those Dr.'s that act like pushy salesmen lol. He actually listens to what you have to say. Also, alot of dr.'s will give you a quote and it is only good for one month. Porterfield's quotes are good for a year. His prices are also very reasonable. And he's a board cert plastic surgeon which is what you want!!!Let us know how everything goes and good luck!!

Hmm, I know girl that went to Dr. Nuveen and her results were fine. She got 700cc silicone from him 2 years ago. I went to Dr. Hein in OKC and had wonderful results. If I get a redo I would definitely go back to him.

Okay, I know this forum got started a while back, but I wanted to clear some stuff up.

Dr. Nuveen is certified through the board of cosmetic surgeons(as opposed to plastic). He has tons of training and education. He has his own facility and many affiliations with surrounding hospitals.

Your consultation is informative and comfortable, there's a female nurse present at all times. You get to try on different sizes which I think everyone should get to do! It's the whole fun it the thing right?!

Dr. Nuveen has the largest practice in Oklahoma and seems interested in the patient.

Dr. Porterfield rents out his surgical space and you have to use a shared elevator to get to his Suite. He bashes other surgeons openly and his whole staff builds themselves up by knocking other practices down.

Dr. Porterfield's is super touchy-feely and gives me the heebygeebies! He openly criticises body parts so you feel like you wouldn't be whole without the surgery. He came off as a total salesperson and doesn't let you pick your own cc size. He said, "I will fill you up as big as possible." ?!?! WTHeck?

So these have been my experiences.

I went to Dr Nuveen for my BL/breast augmentation. I was impressed with him after I met with him the first time. I am satisfied so far with my results but I am only 18 days post op so I don't have the "finished" look yet. I met with Dr Hein before meeting with Nuveen and was impressed with him too but felt more comfortable with Nuveen.

I went to Dr. Nuveen for my breast augmentation and have been happy so far, only a week out though! My questions are always answered even up until late at night!! If I need anything all I have to do is call! Even before my procedure I had tons of questions and always got prompt responses!! I have been happy with Nuveen and the team thus far! I'm just worried i'm sitting 2 close together but hey i'm only a week out!! I have faith in Nuveen and the team!

Dr. Nuveen performed my breast augmentation in April of 2008. Dr. Nuveen and the whole staff were great. They answered all the questions that I had, which were numerous. I felt very comfortable with the whole experience. I am very pleased with the results. I went to Dr. Nuveen based on referrals from my friends and other ladies in my community who also went to him and were very pleased with their experiences also.

Not everyone will have the same results. The best advice I would give is to research your options and go to the doctor who makes you the most comfortable. It is your body that will be changing.

Glad I read this. Everyone Has Mixed Reveiws on Dr.Nuveen. Im going to Give him a try & keep my Fingers Crossed goes well. Both great reports and bad. Just have to have an open mind and behonest and if i meet him and dont like him. i dont have to do it. =0) good luck!

I would just go to Dallas, they use newer methods in surgery like using electrocautery instead of the harsh blunt dissection. I called around and have met with most doctors here in OKC and I weren't satisfied with any of them. A girls did mention about Dr. Metcalf being great, but I never met with him. His work looks great and I heard he does larger implants also unlike most doctors here. I'm scared of pain and being helpless and also have to go back to work so, I'm just going to pay more money and go to the best PS in my opinion to not suffer and minimize complications as much as possible and lessen my pain!

Just thought I would update. I just had my breast augmentation done by Nuveen and I am just over a week out. I am healing great and Dr. Nuveen and the whole staff of girls up there have been SUPER HELPFUL! You just have to follow your gut though. He has done over 7000 breast augmentations not to mention all of the other types of surgeries that would rack that number up even higher. All I know is I had to follow my gut and it said to trust him. So far so good.

That's great that he turned out good for you! My friend two days ago had her TT and breast augmentation done by him and so far she's pleased. She said her breasts don't hurt at all, but her TT hurts like a mofo, lol!
