Hello Aussie Girls,

I am in the process of researching PS for my breast augmentation. I have narrowed my choice down to Dr. Lai and Dr. Tavakoli. Has anyone had a breast augmentation from either of these surgeons? I would love to hear about your experiences with any PS in Sydney Australia, good and bad.

theres not a lot of sydney girls on here from what i remember.theres a whole bunch of brissy,mel,adelaide girls though.
so cant recommend surgeon,but good luck with all ur research!

i know a girl who went to dr avitoli (oops sp) and she highly recommended him but i dont know personally.

Hi, I'm going with Dr Jake Lim...and am having my breast augmentation at Westmead Private..he also operates at Baulkham Hills Private...

I did a lot of research into Sydney surgeons, getting lots of professional and consumer reviews. I had a consultation last year with Dr Norris at Silkwood Medical. And then, 6 weeks ago with Dr Tavakoli.

I've decided to go with Dr Tavakoli, though both were good in the consultation.

Surgery is next week <tremble>, so can't say what he's like but will report back afterwards

hi and welcome!! this is a great little place, you'll love it i swear

i had mine with dr buckland from mosman plastic surgery. he is a no bs kinda guy, i trusted him the minute i sat down. can't complain on my new additions, they are looking good, recovery is going smoothly (knock the wood!!), i was back at work on day 3. the only thing is that he is a bit pricey comparing to others.. but i would pay twice as much for my peace of mind. good luck with your search! xoxo

Day 3 after my breast augmentation with Dr Tavakoli and I couldn't ask for anything more. Everything has been perfect (and I'm v fussy!!) - from the consultation, the check ups, the nurses pre & post surgery, and - the most important thng - the BOOBS (I'm currently on a high, having now seen them without the bra - WAHOO!).

I'm lovin' Dr Tavakoli right now ... and I'm not even on the meds anymore *lol*. I'm so pleased I went against my gut instinct [to go for the smaller option] and trusted his recommendation for my frame, as he was totally right.

I honestly didn't think I'd be quite as enthused by a aid of boobs as I am -- I now can't WAIT for them to settle and get that bikini on *hahaha*

I've posted pics to my profile album so you can see yourself. It's only Day 3 but they're already [in my - and hubby's - opinion] looking great!

Couldn't recommend him more highly - go for it!

hey! I've heard good things about Tavikoli, hes got a good rep. I went for a consult with Dr Zion Chan - thoroughly professional and friendly

Also, if you're not fussed about staying overnight in hospital and does day surgery instead.. Making him about 2-3k cheaper than most other places

I'd go with Dr. Tavakoli if the choice is definitely between these two doctors. Dr. Lai I wouldn't recommend, personally.

Definately Tavakoli!!!!

im 9 days out and couldnt be happier... he is professional, he definately knows his stuff, and is approachable.

would highly recommend him

Hi there!

I'm going with Dr Lai... breast surgery is his focus. I've had some work done by Dr. Tavakoli and was very happy with the work and the experience but feel Dr Lai is the man for my boob job.

He's very professional and I feel very comfortable with him. The nurses/assistants at his office are so lovely too.

I chose Dr Lai as I thought his gallery of work looked the best. Best attention to detail IMO. Also, his reports on breast surgery shows his passion for the area.

I also noticed Dr Lai has his patients stay overnight in the hospital after surgery - which I think is great.

Hi,

I just had my breast augmentation with Dr Tavakoli in December 09 and have had perfect results (very symetrical and very fast recovery). I definitely recommend him! I paid $10,890 including the surgery and implants, and the hospital fees and anaesthetist.

Just remember to have a little extra cash spare too, there is a small amount of post-surgery medication, 2 x surgical bras + a "strap" (roughly $200-$300 for meds and bras, cant remember exactly sorry). Plus I also bought a pack of silicone scar gel strips on my post-op visit ($88) but these are up to you.
