Who here saw Dr. Rey?

I was thinking of going in for a consult with him, I have a few others I want to see as well.

If you don't mind my asking, how much did he charge for his consult and how much did you wind up paying for your breast augmentation from him?

Also, I'm planning my breast augmentation for March/April, do you think I will get in to see him that soon?

Where you happy in the end?

He's crazy backed up from what I understand. (from an employee of his). I don't have any idea what he charges, but I would guess somewhere around 8,000 - 10,000 for a simple breast augmentation...much more if you want any kind of lift. I would also guess his consultation fee is hefty...to weed out any lookyloos that watch his show, KWIM?

He is not a board certified plastic surgeon, BTW...don't know if that matters to you..just throwin' it out there. He does have tons of experience, however.

And you are right he is not board certified. However, check out his education and continued education etc. Much more than most board certified. The certification does matter to a lot, and I guess I would have started there too... but I had a friend use him years ago and I knew the whole past 7 years I would not go to anyone else. Dr. Rey has done over 30,000 boob jobs alone..

He is phenomenal!

Dare - Just wanted to clarify a few things, for the sake of my amazing surgeon!!!!

I went to doctor Rey and he is not that backed up. He has consults open for the end of this month. My consult was the 1st of Sept and my surgery was the 16th of Sept. My consult was only a week out from when I first called And also he is no where near that expensive. I got a breast augmentation, with lift, 450ccs, full unders for 8500. I actually have his price list.

And you are right he is not board certified. However, check out his education and continued education etc. Much more than most board certified. The certification does matter to a lot, and I guess I would have started there too... but I had a friend use him years ago and I knew the whole past 7 years I would not go to anyone else. Dr. Rey has done over 30,000 boob jobs alone..

He is phenomenal!

He is very talented. He is not backed up either, so I don't know where you are getting your information. I was just there for my consult.

Yes he is amazing!!! You meet him once and its just you know he is beyond talented!

No hefty charges, he is about average of Beverly Hills surgeons and his consult fees were not heft by any means.

He definitely ROCKS! I couldnt be happier!

CONGRATS Morgan!! You made a GREAT choice you will see. I mean check out my pics.. and Im still only 3 weeks post op.. my pics are only 2 weeks post op. Havent posted new ones yet.

Just passing on what I heard directly from an employee of his. I also said I had no idea what the cost was, and was just making a guess, based on what other famous PS's from that area charge. I'm sorry if you felt I was attacking him or something, that was not my intention. The board certification is something that's very important to many women researching breast augmentation's, and may be important to the original poster of this thread, which is who I was responding to. I did add that he's very experienced.

Bottom line, if you want to use him and are thrilled with his results that's all that should matter.

I went to Dr. Rey. I had no trouble getting in. My consult and surgery were all in the same week. I called July 8th and scheduled my consult for July 28th, surgery was July 30th. They had several openings too. He maybe be getting more busy bc he may be starting to film another season of Dr. 90210....but I'm not 100% sure on that.

$150 consult
$8500 for silicone unders
Consult fees goes towards surgery fees.

Dr. Rey is not board certified. However, he is an amazing surgeon. Very knowledgeable and professional.

I am curious....has anyone used him for revisions? I've only seen him do people that look easy to do breast augmentation's on....(some breast tissue, young...meaning skin that bounces back, first time breast augmentation's). In one show he made a comment that he only prefers to do breast augmentation's on young women...I was a little surprised by this comment.

I think most surgeons would prefer to work on younger women, due to the fact that their bodies respond better. I'm gonna be 40 in a few weeks...so I will let you know how the consult goes. I'm not sure about revisions, but I'm new to the board.

Only Dr. Rey can really answer you...

But you should really check out his resume. UCLA & Harvard plus many more additional studies and continuing education.

Better than most board certified doctors. I think those with questions should call his office and ask. Getting the right answer is better than assuming IMO.

Thanks Ladies!

I must admit, I do feel kinda cheesy going on this consult because he's a celeb and thats really not my style....LOL. I do love his show (Its highly addictive!) but he does come off a bit wacky and even sometimes creepy on the show.

But hey...I'm a bit wacky and creepy too!

One thing I was really impressed with (upon talking to a couple gals here on the board *wink wink*), was the fact that his prices are very comparable with many other PS's in Los Angeles. I thought for sure he would not be affordable for me...no where close actually! So maybe he's really in it for the good of it all and enjoys what he does.

I think the show has done a great deal for other PS's around the world and plastic surgery itself....by showing everyone that plastic surgery is not just about vanity, and even if it is, it is a personal choice that should not be looked down upon.

I can't believe he runs a practice, does a TV show and has a family...LOL...does his wife have to book appointments to see him???

I live in a town where there are so many surgeons to choose from that it overwhelms me. I can barely take time off work to go poop, so I'm gonna try and narrow down my consults to what I've seen, heard and know...I still have a couple other docs I want to see as well!
