My consult with Dr. Rey!

I expected to go into a crowded waiting room and sit for at least an hour, but we got there and there was no one there!! I suppose it was because I was the last appointment of the day. My neice and I hung out for about 15 minutes in the waiting room with the receptionist and compared tattoos...she's adorable!!!

Dr. Rey is a riot! Even more animated in person...if that's possible LOL. He walked in and freaked out on my name (Winter Rosebudd) and then went on and on about how he named his kids and he asked about my name and talked...and talked...he's a chatty one. By the time the consult was over, and he spent a solid hour and a half with me, we knew more about each other than I know about friends I've had for years. I'm not sure how we got on the subject of his penis...oh yeah...that stemmed from his mention of using Rogaine on his head and tugging on his hair going..."see..its still there!!" and thats because I had mentioned that my boyfriend uses it, and if he uses too much, he's got a floppy willy...LOL. How did we get on that subject??? No clue. All I know is when we left the office, we held it till we got into the elevator and just burst out laughing and giggled the whole way home.

I can see why a lot of women would be offended by him, as this type of behavior is certainly not very *professional* to most. Me, on the other hand, I've spent my life around artists and the really good artists are truly wacky. So this trait about him was very refreshing to me, as I consider plastic surgeons to be artists. I really got a sense of passion from him, as he loves his art and this made me very comfortable.

We followed this very excited little kid around all the rooms of the office. Is 6:00 karate time? Not sure...seemed like it...LOL.

Now...here's the cut and dry of the consult and why I booked a surgery date with him. (yep....March 5th!!!!, only time I can take off work...UGG!!!). I'm going to be 40 on Sunday and I have smoked since I was 14 years old (I quit a month ago, when I booked my consult). I walked in telling him I wanted to get silicone, through the nipple, unders and he said no way, too much risk. Because I had smoked for so long, my arteries are pretty damaged and there would be a slight risk of loosing my nipples and he said the only way was through the belly button and salines. He also mentioned that other surgeons would probably do the procedure I wanted, but he is not willing to take that risk. He admitted that it was because he was a celebrity figure and cannot afford this type of risk. As bold, and douchy as I found his celebrity comment, I thought to myself...."do I want to take this kind of risk? HELL no!!!"

So as crazy as you may think I am now....I'm completely freaking EXCITED!!!!!!! I just wish it could be sooner.......DAMN!!!

Congrats. I love doctors with that personality as well cuz I am a super bubbly person who loves to joke and talk. He seems to know what hes talking about, you are a 34 B so you lots of tissue to cover the saline implant.

Isnt he seriously a person of character, morals, ethics but such a personality. One that leaves a lasting impression!

Im so glad your consult went great! And you booked your surgery WOO HOO!!!! Before you know it you will have big ole boobies!

I love how he is direct and honest - even if the patient may not like it. Its like I wont do that procedure because of the risk. This is where his morals and ethics are more important than money; although people think he is the opposite.

I walked in there, said I was looking for and went with everything he suggested and said. And I couldnt be more happy!

Seriously CONGRATULATIONS!!! Keep us posted on your journey!!!

I'm still not sure about implant size. My biggest concern is not having a gap. I want D's...so I'm thinking at least 450's...probably bigger.....

His wife has 350's, but she is a lot skinnier than I am, so they look like D's on her. I was shocked when he told me hers where 350's!

I should have looked at your stats beforehand...

I am 5'3 128lbs I went with 450 unders. I went from a 36 deflated B, to a 34DD. His assistant Kristy measured me and told me I am a 34 not 36. So what is your ribcage measurement? Mine is in my siggie. I dont have a gap. You have seen my pics, I dont have a big gap, and get great cleavage!

DUH, your stats are right in your siggie. You are thinner than I am, so I think 450's would definitely get you your D! Perhaps a DD. Just remember implant DD's are smaller than natural DD's. Its sooo true, with my DD's now I think I could still do DDD's and still not look like I have implants.

Check out his before and after pics on his website...

He has before after afters of TUBA (through the belly button) I have seen them... and they were fantastic. I think 450's on your small frame will be perfect, and definitely not too far apart. Ask Kristy though, since she works with Dr. Reys work. kwim?

He does an incredible job on placement! You will see! Look at his work so you get an idea. If needed go back in talk to Kristy his PA - I did at my pre-op and thats when I decided once and final on 450's

Congrats on picking a plastic surgeon and setting the date!!!

I know my plastic surgeon was very honest with what he could and couldn't do for me. I really appreciate that. Celebrity or not, it is good that he won't do something he thinks is to risky for you. He has your medical history and knows what is best.
I can't wait to hear what size you pick!

I might be a March girl too...this is optimistic, considering the situation at my job...but if I stay around I'm aiming for spring for surgery!

Crazy4boobs637...he's charging $7,500 for my BA. I believe through the nipple is $8,500, for saline. I think he's pretty reasonable!!!

I posted some current pics of what my boobs look like now, please send me an FR and let me know what you think! I'm wondering if I should go a bit bigger than 450's?

It really does all come down to a feeling when picking your plastic surgeon, at least it did for me, took three consults but when I met "MY" plastic surgeon I knew it right away, we just clicked as people and I knew that she was going to listen to what I wanted. I hope that after your date you are as happy with the result as I am.... both you and your plastic surgeon sound adorable btw!

I also went with Dr. Pousti... Love him!!! I went from a very saggy 34B to a nice large 34DD... I ended up with 600cc silicone gel!!! I'm sure you will be stoked... If you have any questions let me know.....
