Anyone use Dr. Fee in Jacksonville,FL?

I have a consult with him next Wednesday. I was just wondering if anyone used him or know of anyone who did. Its hard because I know no one in my area who had PS so I have to just guess who is the best based on what they say and pictures.

Thanks,
Trish

Dr. Fee consult

Hi Trish!
I am interested to hear about your consultation with Dr.Fee. I have set one up to meet with him next Friday. I have met with one other surgeon in Ponte Vedra but am still not convinced he is the one...
Let me know how everything goes--- maybe we can compare notes?

thanks.
Gwen

Well, I cheated, and already had it tentively scheduled for the next day after the consult. But they generally can get you scheduled within a week or 2. I did a lot of reseach on Dr Fee and knew I would love him, which I did, so after the consult went great, we did the BA the next morning. He is about 3 hours from me so thats one of the reasons I did it like that. His office is great.

Let me know how your consult goes.

P.S I had gone to several other consults before Dr. Fee so I had something to compare him to, and by far he was the best.

I did a seach under his name on the internet. Tons of things came up. I also seached the florida medical board records- here is the link-http://ww2.doh.state.fl.us/IRM00PRAES/PRASLIST.ASP

I also just had a gut feeling from speaking to his staff on the phone, I am normally right on with my gut feelings. LOL.

I had 425 cc, under put in. He is very into trying to go natural looking so if your wanna be Pamala Anderson size he isnt for you. We went for a small D on me. I am 5'2, 105 lbs. Thats the biggest he would go on me and still look natural. And he was right. I am glad I didnt go any bigger. I decided on a crease incision but he does everything but TUBA. My recovery is slow but I think its just me. My boobs look GREAT and so does my incision. I see him again on Wednesday for a post-op.

Let me know if you have any questions or how it goes.

I went to my consult with Dr. Fee today and found him to have a great bedside manner and more informative than my other consultations. I also tried on some "sizers" with a lady named Dallas. She was a hoot! I kept wanting to try something a little smaller and she hesitated to give them to me. My goals are to acheive a small/medium "C" cup on a 5'7 120 pound build. The Dr. recommended 300cc implants overfilled to 360cc. Have you heard of such overfilling? Also--I am thinking that 360cc is more like a full /large "C" cup--\
Help? Advice?

Mine are overfilled from 360 to 425. I did reseach on it and it actually helps the implant with rippling and give it a longer life some doctors say. I can send you the links if you cant find the info your looking for with a search. At first I was in a panick that we overfilled so much, but the links really made me feel better, plus it came down to me trusting Dr. Fee and I am sure that he wouldnt do it if it caused ANY problems with the implants or the results.

dallas is great isnt she. I feel sure that Dr. fee wouldnt go larger than you want. I almost had to talk him into my size, because he thought it was a little big for me. (BTW, his first choice was a 330 filled to 390 and he said that would be a large C on me) I am 5'2 105 lbs and 'I" wanted a D cup. Your a lot taller than me so 360 would prob give you a C, but I'm not good at the whole CC thing. He is a great surgeon and if you go with him I think you will be very happy with the results. I sure am. let me know what you decide. Do you have anymore consults lined up?

Trish

P.S here is one of the links on overfilling-http://dr-dowden.com/faqs/implover.html

My husband and I really liked him and decided to go for it! I have a pre-op appointment on Monday with Dallas...my surgery date is set for Novemeber 14th. I am a little nervous! Is it unusual to have a pre-op appointment without the surgeon? I really want to bring more photos and clarify what i am looking for as far as size goes...Dallas seemed bias to go bigger. What was your pre-op like? Were you able to contact him by e-mail for any qiestions you may have?
thank so much for walking me through this---this is so great that you can help me along the way.

Hi,
Thats great!!!!! My pre-op was pretty much just going over everything, risks and such and signing all the papers. Also getting my RX stuff. When I decided to go bigger than what Dr. Fee said in Consult, Dallas was able to go get him to determine the size. Just call Dallas if you have any questions or concerns, she is wonderful and can tell you exactly what will happen in pre-op and if you need to see the doc before the 14th and all that. Thats her job If you really feel that you need to see Dr. Fee tell her and I am sure she can make it happen. Also, the day of surgery you will see him before you go in and he will go over size again.

What time is your surgery? What incision are you getting?I am so excited for you!!!

My surgery is set for 10:30am--that is the earliest available....I am going with the crease incision and completely under the muscle (although I know that is not but its not a partial) I am little concerned about the size scar but rather this than through my nipple. OUCH! what about you? how is your recovery going? What day did you feel somewhat normal yo go about daily tasks (other than picking things up/kids)? I am traveling to my in-laws that next week (about 5-6 days after) for Thanksgiving. I also don't want to announce it to my in-laws---do you think this is possible?
any advice would help?

Hi,
The scar for crease is no big deal, to me anyway. I am only 16 dpo and I already have to raise my breast to see the scar, and I have a good feeling that it will be barely visible after it fully heals. Its a very thin line and about 1.5 inches across. It looks 100% better than my c-section scars already.

I was on my own with my kids 1 week po. I personally had a lot of pain, but I went really big for my chest, so my muscles had to really stretch. At 5-6 days PO you may still have a lot of swelling so I would wear big sweaters and stuff. I doubt they really know what size you are now. LOL. And since you are only going to a C it should be easy to play them down.

Please keep in touch and let me know how it goes. if you PM me, I will send you my e-mail incase you dont feel like posting.

Smiles,
Trish

4 days and couting...I was nervous but I am feeling excited. I wanted to see the surgical facility area where they perform everything but they wouldn't show for sanitary reasons. Do you remember much? How has your post ops been with Dr, Fee?

It was nice. They took me back to sit in the room where the dr came to talk to me. It had a really comfy chair. Wish it has had a TV. I was a little bored waiting. (btw- you are allowed to wear you pants and panty into the surgery) The OR nurse will come get you and walk you into the OR. The ana Dr will start your IV and talk to you til you go to sleep. I was in there MAYBE 10 min before I was under. Then you come out to the recovery area for about 30-45 min and they send you home. They have 2 ORS I think and 2 or 3 recovery beds. It was very nice.

I had my 2 week PO last week and it went well. Dr. Fee was great and cleared me to wear whatever bra I wanted and all that. I dont see him again until Dec 13.

I bet you are SOOOOO excited!!!! Please keep in touch and LMK how it goes.

Trish
