Does anyone have a referral for a doctor in michigan? I live at least two hours from all the doctors and it is so hard to choose who to consult since I have so far to drive.

lol, I already emailed them, he does have good credentials and from what I saw he does good work. I checked patient referral but good thing I dont know who you really are.

Katie, does he do silicone to? Im still keeping my options open for doctors, I also thought about Dr.Freeland in Bloomfield Hills. I heard he was good as well.

Holy cow Katie, I found a pre-op pic on Dr.Youn's site, her before are the exact size as I am now....I wish it showed how many cc's the clients had.

Hey Katie,
I spoke with one of my managers at work, she had a gasturic bypass done about a yr ago, she knows of me getting a breast augmentation done, all my managers do....she suggested since I'm having trouble choosing, to get a consultation with Dr Youn and Dr Freeland and Dr Pham(already had a consultation), and to choose the cheapest price one, since they are all very good doctors. All doctors are in the BBB(better buisness berue), but how do I check their cridentials? I could only find Dr.Pham on the cozmedic.com website and read about him, but not sure if its enough info to go by. Below is wqhat it says about him. Is this good info about him or should i try to research him more?

Dr. Pham is a well respected plastic surgeon. He attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathy in 1996. He went on to Good Samaritan Hospital in New York where he completed his rotating internship. He completed his General Surgery Residency from 1997 to 2000 at Peninsula Medical Center where he was named Surgical Resident of the Year in 1998. He was also Chief Surgical Resident from 1998 to 1999. The following year at Westchester Medical Center in New York, Dr. Pham completed a fellowship in Burn/Plastic Surgery. Dr. Pham moved to Michigan in 2003 and has obtained privileges and is the attending physician at Straith Hospital for Special Surgery, Lahser (DMC) Surgical Center, Sinai-Grace Hospital (DMC), and Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital.

Dr. Pham is recognized for his innovative approaches to liposuction, Abdominoplasty and breast surgeries, including breast reconstruction. He is also a trained specialist in body contouring and reconstructive surgery after massive weight loss.

What are the closest cities to you? I tried to locate some surgeons for you, but I dont know where Gaylord is or the major cities around you. I will look at a online map and help you with your search for the closest doctor.

Holy moly your way up north, I found a map of michigan, my soon to MIL/FIL live in Roscommon, maybe 30-45 min drive from you. I looked at all the nearest major cities and Flint was the only one I saw but still that is like maybe a 2 hr drive maybe shorter, I'm not sure. I live in Oakland county(Hazel Park) and there are alot of plastic sugeons in the surrounding cities(Troy, Bloomfield,Rochester and Southfield) I dont know if you have friends or other family members that are near oakland county or macomb county, I thought if you did, you could plan a little get away if you could and get your consultation with a nearby surgeon while you were down on a visit, then make your appointment when/if you have the funds to do so, then come back for surgery. I know its rough to want something(breast augmentation) so bad and live so far from a doctor(a good one) to get it done. There are women here whom have traveled out of state to get theres done in Virginia to Dr. Dewire, if I have the money I'd go to him too. So dont think of the drive as a bad one, just keep doing all your research, make calls if needed, ask the questions and just go for it.

Thanks for the info. Thats why its so intimidating trying to find a doc cause I wanna find a good one to save some drive time mainly because I have two year old twins(boys not boobies) who need cared for when i'm gone cause hubby is out of town alot. I dont have family downstate so that's not really an option so I am basically going on what I read about online and doctors can make themselves sound so good!!!!

I had my breast augmentation performed by Dr Michael Freedland in Bloomfield Hills. He was wonderful to deal with and his staff is great. He uses the quick recovery technique so you are literally up and around on day one. He is a Board Certified Plastic surgeon. He is skilled in both round implants and anatomical implants. I chose round because I liked the look of round vs anatomical. He performs all his surgeries in either Beaumont or Straith Hospital. He is worth consulting with. I definitely recommend him.

I had mine done by Dr. Galloway in Southfield. Most of his career was in Indianapolis though, just moved here last year. He is board cert. in PS and general surgery, has been since the 70's. I went on 7 consults and he was my favorite, and also I really liked the idea of going completely submuscular, and the other 6 surgeons did partial unders. He was the only one in Michigan that preferred this technique and has been doing it for about 20 years, so he's very "ahead of his time" so to speak. I also liked the fact that he really followed up with his patients long term, he had some before/afters of ladies like 12 years post op that looked fab...complete unders hold up very well due to the support of the muscle beneath as well as on top. Consult is free, total was $4900. Good luck with your search!

Gaylord is pretty far way! My boyfriends family has a vacation house newly built in Waters so we go up there every July for Alpenfest! Which im sure you know all about!

I choose Dr Gray in West Bloomfield My surgery is Decmeber 27th but Im really happy with him. Plus he does Endobam. I dont know if you have heard about it but only 4 surgeons in Michigan can perform it. Its where they go through you belly button and your healing time is a lot less intense. Plus no drains and no scars! Read up on it. I paid 5300 all inclusive. Feel free to ask any more questions too!

I had a consultation with Dr. Gray in December 2006, too. He was only going to charge me $3,970 for the same procedure. Did you have saline or silicone? That was for saline.

Anyway, after doing some research and meeting with a few more Drs. I found out that Dr. Gray is not a plastic surgeon. I believe he is a Dermotologist that performs plastic surgery. I was so surprised. He is a very popular Dr. in our area.

I do have a few friends that went to him and were happy with their results. I just found that surprising & thought anyone considering going to him should know.
