![]() | Missed period?
Well, my period's a couple days late....I guess it's because of surgery. Did any of you guys miss your period after your breast augmentation? |

The first month afterwards I did, but after that I went back to normal. No worries! Your body went through a major surgery & needs some time to get back on track.

![]() | didn't miss
I didn't miss altogether, but my second cycle post breast augmentation was late and weird. Started very light for days, and the last days were the heavy days. It's always the opposite.

I actually didnt miss one, but it came 2 weeks early, YUK! Then the following month it came 1 week early. My Dr. says not to worry, surgery can really throw things out of whack for a while.

I voted NO, since I got my period about 2 wks after my surgery. My period was lighter than normal and I didn't get as much cramping/back pain. But I was definately bloated enough to make up for what I didn't recieve.

If you're on birth control, then you have to be very careful with antibiotics because they interfere with it. That could be the reason some women got their periods early. I'm not sure what could cause lateness though, but considering what you put your body through during surgery I'm not too surprised.

![]() ![]() ![]() | LOL!! I wish I could say that three years part. I'm going on 6 months without one, tho'. That's my longest yet. I am SO ready to be done. So no voting for me, either. Annie |

I voted NO. Mine came right on time and I've had 3 periods since my breast augmentation.. all on time and normal. I would've liked to miss at least one lol

i think the only reason you may have difficulties with your period being at a different time is do to your birth control if you are on it....i say this cause when you have your breast augmentation you are given antibiotics which make birth control ineffective and can and/or will disttupt your period schedule.

I'm "late" but I also went off the pill last month so don't know which is the cause. (i went off the pill 'cause I had a permanent birth control procedure, Essure, back in July). All I know is that I'm not pg!!

I read a thread that said a lot of people skip or have a later period after their breast augmentation ... and I was very surprised when mine came right on time ;-)

Wish I'd missed one, hate the bloody things. One week after my op I got a very heavy one (sorry if that's TMI!) yet I'd only had one a week and a bit before my op! So it screwed them up, just not in the way I'd have chosen. |

My period is almost on a perfect schedule...every 28 days! My surgery was exactly 2 weeks ago and I should have started yesterday and I haven't. So I guess I'll wait and see if I'm actually going to "miss" this period. I'm sure it's just because my body went through some major changes and my body is working hard to heal the muscle and tissue. Not sure, just my guess.
